Believe what you want, but I can state without any doubt that we have made an offer to Tippet although we are behind GCS in his preferences.

We will/are hoping to be a major player during this trade period.

But seriously fair and balanced believe what ever you want

No word of a lie we have made an offer, we may not get him and the club knows that but we have tabled an offer and Adelaide know our intentions.

I also don't like being called a liar btw, especially when you ant actually dispute my post you just dont agree and hope it isn't true
 
If we can pull off this Tippett trade, and besides all other teams calling us cheats etc etc how cool would it be? Collingwood ripping shit a part in the first FA year. Yeh, think I like it.

Edit: Tippett is not part of FA, but yeah anyway..

So don't state anything with out any doubt. How would anyone know with out any doubt that we have offered him a contract? Seriously, I am in shock how little it takes for people to get sucked in. Tippett wanted to go home, that was the rumour all year, has been for a while, now suddenly Tippetts management want to up his price at both Brisbane and GC so he throws in another couple of powerful clubs, of which we are always one, and yet people believe this is somehow going to happen??

Your point is fair and valid, but anything can happen. Tippett maybe looking for more money (head north) or success (Victoria/NSW)

Oh but the best part of your post is the little "we aren't the frontrunners" little quip that makes it known that he will end up going to GC or Brisbane and there will never be an official word on whether Collingwood made the offer or not. Just makes it that much easier to state the things you know, knowing full well you will never be proven wrong. I can't prove that we haven't given Kurt Tippett an offer, but one thing I do know is that if we did, there is no way that somebody inside the COllingwood admin is gonna shoot you a text just so you can state that you know we have made an offer.

COLLINGWOOD has denied any interest in former Adelaide forward Kurt Tippett, who announced on Tuesday he was leaving the club.

The Magpies, Brisbane Lions and Gold Coast have all been linked to the forward - and all refused to speculate on his possible destination when contacted by AFL.com.au.

Collingwood, which signed West Coast free agent Quinten Lynch on Tuesday, denied it was interested in Tippett at all.

Football manager Geoff Walsh said rumours linking the Pies with the 25-year-old were "not coming from us.

Who said Brisbane? His preference is GCS

We are hoping to be involved in the trade regardless of if Tippet comes to us or GCS, you can work out which young midfielder we are also into it.

He also didn't shoot a text, you just don't know the right places to look

Whilst i agree with the unlikelihood of Tippett ending up a pie, i think you would be an extremely poor judge and i would be upset at the pies management if we didnt put an offer to Tippett. There will be an offer on the table, i reckon most pies would be upset if there wasnt - you cannot teach 6ft 7", power forwards are rare and he has massive upside. What it would cost us is the real question.

Mitch Clark for example............was never going to become a Demon but.......

Wellingham gone - save $300K ish, veterans listed players = about another 300K saved.

The one that worries me is Tyson Goldsack - absolutely love what he has brought to the club this year and we must sign him asap.

They are only my opinions!!!!!!
 
We'll see, I seem to recall we had no interest in fev during 09 yet we discussed a trade with Carlton (both fev and ed have confirmed that)

Also the clubs recruiters don't rate Giles, so move on from that one.

Tippett
Giles
Fev

I reckon 2 and 3 are a possibility. But Tippett? I cannot see it happening, unless we bought shares in Visy, just saying.

Haha, mate the football manager just came out and said its the first he's heard of it, but yeah you know we have offered him a contract. When you're immediately proven to be a liar you have to make up more crap.
I don't mind people telling mistruths in these forums, but when you come out and state things like you know they are true when it is so clear you are making them up, that is where I draw the line.
 
Don't want Pederson, I would be disappointed if he came to us.
