why hasnt there been any talk about us going after clinton young, hes a free agent and would solve the leon davis role and would be perfect for the kick ins with that big left foot. been rumored Melbourne are going to make a play for him as well as Brisbane. would be a better pick up for our team than tippett wouldn't cost us 800,000-900,000
Sleeps with the night on.

Pass.

Edit: "light on" idiot!!!

yeah I think his endurance could use some work but I'd say the whole Melb side needs to lift there.
I remember reading before the start of last season, one of the journo's commenting on the massive difference in intensity between Collingwood and Melbourne's training session.
Bring him in, send him to Utah, stay away from the Mormon's, get ultra fit, and produce the best form of his short career. Bingo!!

I'd love that, really rate Mastern.
Tough player who can play a bit forward and as an attacking back.Pretty much Wellingham, but with no injuries to his heart strings.
do we need him though i think he would play similar to blair

Yeah, look, probably not. I wouldn't shy away from him though, perhaps he could be converted into a full time defender and take over Harry O's position. I'd upgrade my membership to the legends pack if they could somehow remove that stain from our backline.

i reckon harry should be moved to a wing. he has that burst of speed to get away from his opponents and would not fumble in the back line when trying to take a mark, gives him freedom to do his atacking which hes good at and less defending which he is not that good at

I don't rate Masten at all and I have watched a fair bit of WCE this season. Would be better than Stevens for sure though. The trade would mean it's an indie for indie swap, so both teams aren't disadvantaged.:D

Hahaha, Id much rather the beard than the stylized comb over and oversized glasses!

not a rumor but does anyone know if Nathan Krakouer from the suns is still playing any level of football at the moment???? he got let off at the end of last year for personal reasons.

Pedersons agent said his likely destination is Collingwood on Tuesday. Won't be surprised if he is our last choice though. Heard a rumour yesterday that Melbourne will be offering pick 13 plus Stefan Martin for Chris Dawes and Luke Rounds. Does that rumour have any legs or am I just hearing incorrect information? Sad to see Wellingham leaving really stuck by him since his debut on Anzac Day in 2008. However if we can snare pick 17 from West Coast then I'll be one happy man. With picks 17 & 18 we can be a huge player in trade week.

Trade you Masten? Funny stuff...he is Nisbetts nephew, a pick 3 who is finally coming good, no chance he would be traded, but please continue to discuss and waste each others time...

Well the Problem with that is we might want to do it but I think that getting the Dawes and Sharrod's Trade done want to be 1st.

Unless there is a Trade Already Worked Out.

I have heard the Rumor but does not have Much Ground

DAY 5 WRAP FOR COLLINGWOOD:

It's been all about what or who Collingwood could potentially get for Chris Dawes and Sharrod Wellingham. There have been some interesting rumours doing the rounds, nothing that we can really take as solid grounds to say it will happen.

WHO'S ON THE WAY OUT:
The pies are set to lose Sharrod Wellingham, and possibly Chris Dawes. Although the pies have allowed Dawes to
field offers, you'd suspect Collingwood will only trade for him if they feel it will benefit them in the long run.

Wellingham will leave the pies 4 games short of notching up his 100th game, which is a shame. But he has chosen to return back to Perth, which isn't a bad move, considering the window is open for West Coast. Pies fans love Shazza, and I'm sure they'd wish him all the best... except when he plays against Collingwood!

The pies can probably expect a second round pick for Wellingham, however with the eagles' second round pick a bit too deep into the draft, they might seek to get another club involved to get the deal done.

EG:

K.Stevens from West Coast to Western Bulldogs
Western Bulldogs second round pick to Collingwood.
Sharrod Wellingham from Collingwood to West Coast.

Of course the pies have picked up the big Q Stick through free agency who will play an important part in the Collingwood forward line in 2012.

WHO'S ON THE WAY IN:
The pies are very interested in getting Stefan Martin from the dees, and at only 26 years of age, he's perfect for Collingwood going forward. It wouldn't surprise me to see the pies and dees come to an agreement on him.

For those wondering about the rumours - the strongest one of all has been Dawes + Rounds for pick 13 + Stefan Martin from the Demons.

This is very much a win/win for both clubs. The demons want some older players to come in and compliment their young side, and Collingwood would be looking to add depth into their forward line and ruck department, which is where Martin would be valuable.

The pies have also been strongly linked to Cam Pederson from North Melbourne, and will probably have to give up a second or third round pick.

Bit of a Wrap Up and What to Expect
