Now is your time son.

I know he's been excellent down back but we are not going to get a better opportunity than this week to see how he handles the responsibility of FF or CHF.

Lets see if he's got the smarts to play forward, he's got all the tools; exceptionally quick for 198cm, beautiful kick, backs himself and takes high flying marks.

Unleash him Knights.

Maybe but I think he needs to play on Robert Murphy. Maybe Fletch or Mal could go up forward. Yes I know he could do some big damage but I think we need him down back/ He is quicker than Fletch and Mal and the Doggies will be lightning quick, so I think this game would suit him well down back.

But I think he should be tried up there for a quarter, especially in the absense of Lloyd.

I think its definitely something Knights has to look at, at the very least Ryder would create some match-up headaches

While i am not against the idea but i also think that Hille rotating with Laycock at FF could work quite well.

Hille would be quite capable of kicking 4 goals with 70% time at FF and Laycock might be able to chip in with 1 or 2.

I don't like the idea of Ryder at FF but CHF would be ok, as long as the Dogs arent destroying us in the forward line of course.

Agree, Hille would be the obvious replacement up forward however why haven't they brought in a replacement tall- Jay Neagle?

Laycock has lined up at full-forward, not to say he's definitely going to play there, he just doesn't have the marking ability. He misses more marks than he takes. He cost us early goals agains the Cats with some absolute sitters!

They didn't bring in another tall because they are either not fit or are out of form.

Johns, hardly played.
Neagle, hardly played
Lee, missed a large chunk of the pre season, is not much good anyway.
Pears, very inexperienced.

Knights has said time and time again.

"If you are not match fit, you don't play"

Nathan Lovett-Murray's first week back from a groin injury, obviously not jeopardising his fitness?

Adam Mcphee started round 1 after missing a number of games didn't he?

So what level of fitness must they be? What is the gauge?

I could have sworn a couple of weeks back that a few posters were arguing whether or not Neagle was fit enough to play.

I thought the guy arguing that he wasn't match fit or fit enough was right. :D

NLM did all of the pre season and missed one game only?

McPhee is in exceptional condition and has ran out the games this year so Knights obviously assessed he was match fit and was proved to be correct.

How would i know what level of fitness they have to achieve?

They have scientific testing for that stuff, heart rate, previous times etc etc but you will have to ask Knighter or Quinn for that.

Ryder is a good call as long as Fletch and Mal are doing the job down back. McPhee could do it too.

Hille or Laycock could but I worry what happens when the ball hits the deck with those two.

So scientific we have 5 players with hamstring injuries....
