S22 - BRAB, miggs
S23 - Phenom, Coach

Care to add some averages and where their teams were placed in those respective seasons?

The Bears are another team on life-support. JoshWoodenSpoon contributed over 26% of their 3047 match thread posts in S24; only I Dont Care at the Warriors was more relied upon. Losing their talismanic leader for S25 hurts their attractiveness to recruits.

The Bears ranked 9th in quantity, had the =2nd lowest number of participants with 19 and only hit the 300 post mark twice. Their 20 inactive posters was the highest number in the league, and their number of active posters (>5/wk) was the lowest in the league at 7- even the Gumbies had more!

Needs: Profile. Someone the league looks up to, who can attract players.

Verdict: Bottom 2
Pretty disappointing when you see it in such a shame file.

I would be shutting down that 100 post rookie immediately. You just can't hit those numbers without familiarity enjoyably for everybody else. Just means that rookie is going to get smashed every week and lose their fun.
Far Kern put up a 90 post average and was very well regarded in his rookie season.

miggs averaged 80 posts and the Swamprats were the highest-polling team in MVP voting

Sorry, not fussed about MVP, don't think that comes into the equation personally. People normally vote for who they know. He's obviously nowhere near that now.

Acceptable exception to the rule but has progressively become non-existent since, no?

Is that not what you asked? o_O

Unless you were aiming for a correlation of sim results to posting?

Nah, I guess I was more asking for where they would be rated in a setting like this thread.

Either way, we got a response on one of the posters mentioned who has reined it in which I guess is all you can really refer to as your teammate not having other stats in front of you.

Anyway, I've forgotten the argument but the fact always remains, quantity is not the barometer of a teams success and quality is like beauty and in the eye of the beholder. Therefore, threads like this are never reliable for rankings. They are however very very good for pointing out the clubs who are dying and in need of either immediate attention or a priest (for their last rites, not for Harolad) as statistical data is the only thing that should be drawn on for threads like these. Thank you for that data btw, it helped in compiling our final post counts.

As far as the Hawks and their write up as previously mentioned I was pretty happy. Maybe I wasn't so happy with our need being "humility", not too sure how that is going to get our ongoing inactives posting or our present posters inspired to post more. I respect you as a colleague so maybe would have liked something more constructive, not a catty attack on a team members catchphrase.

He continued the next season posting in the same vein. Then experienced some personal issues which led to a sudden disappearance.

It's hard to objectively assess my own team. Biased opinion is that we were the best posting team of S24, but one cold hard fact refutes this - the Swamprats' list participation rate was the worst in the league, with only 18 of our 27 listed players making an appearance.

Despite this, we were the heaviest posting team in match threads with 8803, over 1100 ahead of the next-best Bombers. The quantity of contributors at 15 was ranked second, and we were the only team to top 300 posts every week - in fact, only dropped below 400 once, in the final round.

Our average posters/week was ranked =4th at 15.3, and we had the 4th-lowest number of inactive posters (<5 ppw). We had far and away the highest number of active contributors (>20 ppw) with 12.

Needs: Sim results. Imagine if we also had the excitement of finals...

Verdict: Top 2

Staggering to think that spookism leaving made two sides worse

Spamrats giving us definitive proof that posting doesn't correlate to the sim.
The fact that we're not three-peat defending premiers is proof enough :D

haydo23 has the Wonders in a good position, but they can go either way from here. Positives: They had the highest percentage of list involvement - 24 of their 25 listed players posted at least once during the season. They ranked second for average posters/week with 16.9. and had the 3rd-highest number of regular contributors (>5 ppw) with 14

The challenge will be turning the 5-20 ppw players into active contributors. The Wonders only had one player who contributed quantity regularly, and only 8 hit the 10 ppw mark.

They were another team who found the latter rounds a struggle, averaging 395 posts per match up till halfway, then diving to 162 thereafter. Maybe the trade of xenxen hurt more than they admit...?

Needs: Lieutenant required. Too much of the heavy lifting was left to the captain.

Verdict: Mid-table

And so, without further ado, I present the rankings of each SFA teams' list. This table, and other relevant tables to this thread, have now been added to the OP.

Please note: these rankings have been arrived at by running the data through a very extensive algorithm. Algorithm being the new-age word for an opinion that no-one wishes to take ownership of or blame for.
