They were not punished as they did vote, they just sent votes in late.

There is nothing in the rules about being late for an admin vote deadline, its at my discretion.

So here is what happened.

• A bunch of Bomber players were banhammered two days before the teamsheet deadline.
• As it was unprecedented I told them they could serve their suspensions seperately. I might not have communicated clearly enough, but the expectation was they use all possible reserves. They failed to do this.
• After the teamsheet deadline, more Bombers were banned.

As such I have decided to give them a penalty of 2 points for having an ineligible player on field when they had an eligible player in reserves.

They also have until deadline to sign fill in players until they have enough suspended players back to fill a squad, or else they will be docked further points.

Ljp86, please give the Bombers a 2 point penalty.

So you made a deadline, your own team didn't follow it, and then you decided NOT to punish them because "it's at your discretion"?

So I was watching something last week and it made me think about being nicer to people, ya know, and acknowledging that being mean isn't the best way to go about it (even if they deserve it). And I am often loathe to criticise you because - as much as I appreciate a lot of it is in jest - the pile on towards you is mean spirited, disproportionate and just really unfair.


But mate...

We voted.

NaturalDisaster is in the LG and had those votes. Tonga Bob disappeared on lodgement day and obviously didn't collate and forward to the admin in a different PM, which was superfluous really. Add that to the fact that ND advised us on the day that it didn't matter anyway, as the result was already a fait accompli based on the other 11 votes, and here we are.

For the record, we didn't know who had won, just that we already had a winner.

Why ND decided to announce that we hadn't voted when members of our LG did, before the deadline too, is anyone's guess. Feels a bit weird but equally probably par for the course.

But Bobby also didn't go the step of lodging an official vote separate to our LG PM, and was around on the day, so maybe it was a reasonable action to take as admin.

Who knows.
