I understand your team is part of the discussion, doesn’t mean you have to bend the rules to punish them just to placate serial_thrilla and his agenda.

Read the rest of this thread and the rule again, it is ambiguous at best, and there is clearly part of it missing. Without the or part of the rule, who can say if the condition was or wasn’t met?

Rather than guessing, why not err on the side of doing the right thing by the rookies and the clubs trying so hard to attract new talent?

That was a typo and the rule has been applied exactly the way I intended it to.

Upon exerting the minimum effort to investigate this claim.

The Coney Island Warriors, West Coast Wonders, Sin City Swamprats and Ophidian Old Boys have breached 4D which requires players new to the league to make at least 1 post affirming their intent to partake in the league prior to being added onto the official squad.

This entails a minor offence under Rule 6B.

6B) Minor Offence

• Incorrect player signing as per 4C and 4D

The aforementioned clubs will now have 1 strike recorded under the Three-Strike Policy, should any club record a third strike it will result in a 2-point penalty.

If your player has since made a post participating in the league such as engaging in a match thread then that is taken as implicit agreement to join and no further action is required.

If your player has still yet to make a post on the SFA board they are considered ineligible for selection until a post affirming their participation (either directly or indirectly) is made.

Must be a different Clarkey because that wasn’t me. Your memory is a bit fogged there, they all had accounts thank you very much.

All four posters were signed to the Wonders to bring light to the very situation that the Gumbies exploited that season. This was the brazen way to go about bringing a rule in but its the only way I would have wanted it to be done. Perhaps needed more glitter. I’ll note that for next time.

If we go on about this ridiculous 24 hour sign up rule and yet teams are just naming posters nilly-willy because of a PM that no one can confirm exists, well that’s good enough to me for a rule to stop that from happening. If we go on about a player’s permission to play, it really cannot be more simple… but then the rules were written in such a way that club captains who can’t read, don’t read.

Not a simple rule, it is half a rule … which quite clearly states there is an alternative option to posting in the SFA.

Without the alternative clearly explained, there is no breach of the rule.

Alrighty, it is now time to penalise some teams!

Coney Island Warriors, makes sense that they could not get a new player to make a single post in the off-season, I wouldn't post for a club with zero premierships in 16 seasons either.

West Coast Wonders, they are captained by damicky so they are expected to be a mess.

Ophidian Old Boys, are fulfilling their purpose to ruin the league with their incompetence.
