Sam Blease looks very good for a second rounder if he lasts that long. he reminds me of matt white with his pace of the mark.
His kicking skills seem very good wich should be a priority i think.
and his chase and tackling are also good.

Only worry is his wieght he looks very skinny so he may take some time to bulk up a bit.

looks the goods for mine, what doyou think?....pheonix??

Spare me the skinny ones mate sick of them.:thumbsd:

i like the kid, only problem is he reminds me of a.fiora at the same age.

1. vickery
2. the best available chf
3. the best available inside mid
4. another mid or small defender (not king size too small) or cousins
5. another developing ruck

1. May not be around for us to pick him up.
5. I doubt we'll have 5 picks in the ND

i have a funny feeling vickery may still be available.
1.watts
2.rich
3.nicnat
4.hartlett
5.zeibell /hurley
6. hurley/zeibell
7.yarran/swift
8.VICKERY
i have listed them depending on the clubs needs & who i think they take.

the reason why i think we might have 5 picks is because we will delist & trade. with tivendale already gone we would/should be looking at trade
pettifer , hyde ,king ,polo , casserly , jon , polak.
with the last 3 hopefully going back onto the rookie list.
cartledge, howat, silvester, pettifer, hyde, king are the ones i want gone.

If he can gain some bulk he looks the goods.

I've seen him running at full speed, bend down and pick up the ball and then hit a pin point pass. If he can gain some kg's then he looks like a good pickup.

I would guess that he will be recruited from 15-25

I think alot of people are going to be surprised at how high this kid goes..
I read somewhere he trained with Richmond a couple of times this yr.

Yeh he trained at Richmond as part of his AIS program. I have played against Blease and he is a very good player, runs all day long but as many have pointed out he is very light. Ben Griffiths trained there with him, one we should look at drafting next year, CHF/FF tall and strong is a rediculous mark also one of the best set shots at goal I have seen.

this is more like it!

i think we've had enough robust discussion on the first round draft pick and everyones position is quite clear.

lets start talkin about our 2nd, 3rd round picks. where have all the "experts" gone? :D

ive heard this kid is dying to play for richmond
has supported richmond forever
bleeds yellow and black and loves the club
has been interviewed by 5 clubs but is dying to get to richmond
wether it happens who knows
hope ive got the right kid im pretty sure i do
little red head skinny onballer yeah?

Dunno if he will be available or if he is worth us picking up but looking at the YouTube link that trimmer posted, this kid has already got Fiona covered IMO.

You know whats funny? I know this kid!

He is running of a footy scholarship to Yarra Valley Grammar so I don't think his training is gonna be too bad. Could bulk up a bit; I'll agree with you there.

EDIT: He is a tigers supporter too, so that should help him want to win.

Remembered while watching this game that i was impressed with him. Did go quiet for long periods of the game. Looks very smoothe and nicely skilled. Good runner. The way he moves reminds me of Robert Murphy from the dogs. Could be a player.

GO TIGES!!!
