I got no idea what anyone is on about. Sam Butler is clearly a better player then Campbell Chesser. Its not even close

Does Chesser have a 4 year contract offer?
Why didn’t you offer chesser 4 years? Wouldn’t it have been easier and cheaper to keep a player there rather than try drag one across the country, especially as chesser is the better player and more valuable, seems like a weird move. Or it could be because with 4 games left in the season chesser was probably getting delisted, then played 4 average games and managed to salvage his career for at least 2 more yearsIs Chesser being courted by the team finishing last in a rebuild? Based in Perth?
Pretty obvious teams that finish last need to pay a premium to attract players. Add the fact Butler isnt from WA and thats another reason the Eagles would need to pony up to turn his head.

I must have missed when Carlton became finals powerhouse...What is your point here?
We're discussing that the amounts offered to get players attention is higher for clubs at the bottom than on the top.
Players take pay cuts to move to contenders. Lots of examples of that.
Players demand more money and longer deals to consider a move from successdul teams to teams finishing bottom. Especially if they need to relocate interstate.
You dont agree?
You must value tackles extremely high, there was nothing at AFL level this year to suggest Butler is the better player.I got no idea what anyone is on about. Sam Butler is clearly a better player then Campbell Chesser. Its not even close
Chessers 4 average games were better than Butlers 4 best on averageWhy didn’t you offer chesser 4 years? But my point is why didn’t you offer that to chesser? I understand why you’ve done it for butler, but I don’t understand why you’ve didn’t offer chesser 4 years if your confident in him being good afl player, seems like a really stupid list management decisionWhat is your point here?

As posted last night , other clubs have entered the chat all the while Sam hasn't let us know of his intentions just yet.
Exactly. Makes no sense. If we offer Chesser a 4 year deal he signs is so quick he breaks his wrist. If we aren’t offering him a 4 year deal it’s because we rate him less clearlyBut my point is why didn’t you offer that to chesser? How is that trolling? Your post doesn’t explain why you didn’t offer something decent to chesser to get him to stay. If you rate him so highly you should’ve given him what you’re offering butler. Now you’ll probably end up with nothing, seems like a stupid movePrevious post explained that.
And from your post its obvious you arent that clued up on list management.
Or trolling.
I really hope 1 of them is the Tiges. I really rate Butler.
Two other clubs as I mentioned. That story came out a day after I posted it here. But, unfortunately I just can't get the info on which clubs.I really hope 1 of them is the Tiges. I really rate Butler.
That would be a good deal for the HawksWould like us to extend our offer to at least 3 years. He has come along and is showing promising signs in recovering from his leg injury.
Played a great finals series too and showed plenty of class/composure with ball in hand/finishing.
Some saints supporter suggested pick 8, Cmac and Butler for Merret + F3.
Why the hell would Hawthorn give up 2 best 22 kids (both have roughly 10 years left) + a top 10 pick for Merrett? He's good but we're not burning our list for him.
, some of you blokes are proper delusional.I'd say the delusional adjective applies to you. That would be a good deal for the Hawks, some of you blokes are proper delusional.
You are clueless. That would be a good deal for the Hawks, some of you blokes are proper delusional.
I have no bias commenting on the trade, you reek of bias comparing Cam Mackenzie to Sam MitchellI'd say the delusional adjective applies to you.
Hawks would like Merrett, but only at the right price, and that isn't it. Nowhere near it.
Midfield of Day/Newcombe/Nash/Ward/Worpel/Mackenzie is plenty good enough to win a flag. I'd expect Ward and Mackenzie to continue to improve. Mackenzie is another Sam Mitchell, the difference is that Sam got early exposure because the side was crap when he came in, Mackenzie was a lock 22 in a great side before breaking his wrist, and he and Day will be HUGE additions to the side in 2026.
The media bs is simply that, BS.
Sam Mitchell is indeed ruthless, and he will walk away from the deal if it isn't in the Hawks favour. He ain't no Clarko, who promised shit to the players before any deal was struck. Stuffed him at the trade table.
I'd be surprised if the Hawks would offer anything more than pick 8 and a fringe player, such as HH. If Essendon don't like that, too bad, see ya.
IMHO Merrett will be an Essendon player, for many reasons including the above.
. I’m just not bias mate, doubt Mackenzie is involved as it’s not a need but Hawks likely trade pick 8, f1 and HH for Merrett and will be stoked about it.You are clueless.
Lol.oh, and Worpel? He's only going to Geelong if the deal suits us. They need to stump up a first round pick for the former B and F winner. If the compo isn't end of first round, and it won't be, Hawks will simply match the deal and demand a trade.
Hawks learnt their buddy lesson a decade ago.
