Sam Mitchell or Chad Fletcher ?

Both struggled to get on a list to start with, one off the rookie list and one from the VFL and both have become the best ball winners at their clubs. Hard to split but i lean for Mitchell just because of how many clearences he wins.

I love both players, chad fletcher is one of the most under rated players who breaks the 30 possesion mark on a regular basis over the past 2 seasons.

But i think sammy is more effictive (maybe im bias) because he can get those clearances and he can rack up nice possesions. But i wouldnt mind having fletch down at hawthorn!

you don't know what he went through to get in to AFL, he worked his but off and people were telling certain people to have a look at this guy but they did not want to know at first cause he was a short guy and they proberly thought he was too slow till some one dragged them down to have a look and they finally saw how good he was etc .

looks are not every thing nor is speed some times you need the guys that are not fast as a train in a game

Yet Fletcher has an AA guernsy and Mitchell does not.

This thread is like comparing Lloyd to Scarlett.....You can't because they play different roles. In the midfield you have your 'ball winners' and your 'receivers'. And because 99% of the Bigfooty population have no brain, if you're a 'reciever' then you are soft and not as good as the 'ball winners'.

In the end a decision like this comes down to what your team needs most.

Yeah tough to compare because they play different roles. Fletcher is more a link man and Mitchell the hard ball, clearance type mid. Both get a ton of the pill, depends what your team needs I suppose.

Im very happy with Fletch. 1 sixth of the Super 6... far better than the Fab Four.

I would take Mitchell over Kerr just.
Fletcher is overrated. Is a good link man but often makes bad decisions.

Mitchell. Hawthorn have not had any depth in the midfield for ages, and he's had to carry much of the load with crawford before hodge stepped up this year. Fletcher gets under the guard of most opposition teams because of judd cousins kerr etc... might find it harder in a lesser side.
