Truth? It's all garbage.

The majority of Geelong fans are more than happy with Ottens arrival and his form this year. Without him getting us out of the sh.t through either kicking goals or saving us in the ruck when King was getting belted we'd be in a worse position than we are now. That is a fact.

Moloney is a one dimensional midfielder who wouldn't have been able to offer what Ottens could. He wouldn't have been able to help us in the ruck or go forward and kick goals. Even though it's irrelevant he's only kicked one this year - Melbourne's first goal for the season way back in March. But he'd never be able to go to the square and snag 2-3 a game.

As for assuming the rather dodgy rumour and it's source as 100% accurate is just plain stupid and extremely naive.

Brian Cook said no Geelong play is on more than 400K.

They dont want fighting within the club over play payments. Most of our top liners are on 300k.

Im not going either way at this stage. I think if Ottens could play forward more we will come out ok. Kings form and Injury have made this difficult as Ottens has had to spend more time in the Ruck.

The fact is at the end of 2004 we had no big forward and we had plenty of midfielders, so a trade had to be done. Hopefully when he comes back from his groin injury they will keep him in the Goal Square. It frees up Kingsley and Playfair and provides more opportunities for Chapman and Ablett.
