Why is BF is getting stuck with Jack Ass richmond supporters (IE Blaisee, Bentleigh, Tigerboyz, Oxx and now Terry Tan)
Is there something about that club that makes the Tiger fans go loopy ?
Maybe it's the water down at Punt Rd.
it's amazing how they can bag ottens for leaving when they poached a big name player from another club (Nathan brown) the year before.
Hypocrites

Nathan Brown has skill and is one of the best 3 matchwinners in the game, the other only has potential.

Did you read my post?
So not even you think it was a good trade.
I appologise for calling you stupid.
You obviously understand that you were robbed by Richmond last November and by Ottens ever since.

Could you point out in the quote below where Catman says we were robbed or says it was a bad trade ?

Truth? It's all garbage.

The majority of Geelong fans are more than happy with Ottens arrival and his form this year. Without him getting us out of the sh.t through either kicking goals or saving us in the ruck when King was getting belted we'd be in a worse position than we are now. That is a fact.

Moloney is a one dimensional midfielder who wouldn't have been able to offer what Ottens could. He wouldn't have been able to help us in the ruck or go forward and kick goals. Even though it's irrelevant he's only kicked one this year - Melbourne's first goal for the season way back in March. But he'd never be able to go to the square and snag 2-3 a game.

Well he himself accused me of not reading his post properly when I accused him of supporting the Ottens trade.

If you like Jub Jub I can take back taking back calling him stupid.

Sorry Catman. According to JUB JUB you really are stupid.

Jub Jub: Do you think it was a good trade?

Okay expert, why was it a bad trade ?

You're kidding aren't you?

You've never been accused of being the sharpest tool in the shed have you JUBJUB. and I can tell that you are a great fan of mediocrity.

For Meyer, Patterson, Malony, over a million dollars and team morale you'd want a regular match winner which Otten's isn't, even when fit.

This short sighted approach will deliver the same level of success that the Cats have had for the past 30 odd years.

In 10 years when Meyer, Patterson and Malony are still running around and Ottens is a distant memory you will be thinking "we could have had all of them. What were we thinking? We were unbelievably stupid"

And you know what JubJub? For once you'd be absolutely correct.

Ottens has Been good for the team. I do not want to even think about what the club would be like with no Graham and no Ottens up forward this year. Ottens gives a target up forward and straitens up the midfield when they bring the ball in. He makes a contest and is one of the best players in the team when taking a set shot at goal. He has also covered well for King being unable to play properly this year. Every time he has gone into the ruck he has sparked the midfield into action.

If there were no tall players in the forward line Moloney could have bombed the ball in as much as he liked this year and it would have came back out just as quickly.

Geelong did not trade Meyer Patterson and Moloney for Ottens. They traded Moloney and their first pick. So there was no chance that all three could have been at the club. If Geelong had kept their pick they may have chosen to go for another player all together anyway. So that would have been Moloney still at the club and some first year player who may or may not have played a game this year or at all.

Are you a fortune teller ?
How do you know Meyer,Pattison and Tweek will still be running around in 10 years ?
In fact how do you know they'll even be running around in 5 years time ?

I'm sure Jaime Lawson and Jason Snell thought they'd still be running around right now.

I'm still not sure why this trade seems to worry you.

MOLONEY
MO-friggin-LONEY!
Not hard at all!

Not to mention, you can't really say the cats gave up all three for him.

Unless the cats decided they wanted to keep Maloney and Melbourne said hey that's cool, you can still have our pick?.

Ottens form of course, hasn't been the greatest, but I'd think it will improve as the players get used to him.

Fair trade - no
What the cats needed? yes.

How do you know Meyer and Pattison will be star players?

Who is Malony?

Team morale is fine. Look at how we embraced Otto in Round 1 and again in Round 4.

This short sighted approach will deliver the same level of success that the Cats have had for the past 30 odd years.

What was short sighted about getting a talent like Ottens who wanted to come to Geelong, is only 25 and suited our needs when all we had to give up was a few draft picks (which are often just like a lottery) and a fringe midfielder? The positives outweighed the negatives.

In 10 years when Meyer, Patterson and Malony are still running around and Ottens is a distant memory you will be thinking "we could have had all of them. What were we thinking? We were unbelievably stupid"

Can you give me the lotto numbers for this weeks $19million superdraw too?

Absolutely right, except the part where you spelt Moloney with an 'a'. There is no 'a' for christs sake!

There's no confusion JUBJUB.
I'm just getting a laugh from a very stupid decision from a rival club.

Like remember how richmond traded away their top draft picks a couple of years ago because they thaught they were close to a grand final. Apparently they just needed a player or two to fill some gaps.

Sounds pretty dumb now. Obviously seemed like a good idea to the Tigers at the time.

Geelong have done exactly the same and I find it very, very funny.

Yeah and like remember when like Essendon made the finals, and like got totally knocked out by like Geelong?
Well memories are all you have when September rolls around this year, coz you won't be a part of the action.

********for brains.
Here's one for you.
We cheated the salary cap to win our last grandfinal.
Your captain cheated your ruckman to lose your last one.
And Ottens is up to it again.

Ottens is a good player and I wish he was still playing for us, however, I'm more than happy with Meyer and Pattison. I do believe Geelong got exploited in this trade, Ottens is not worth two first round draft picks.
Both clubs should be happy, leave it at that.

Ok Einstein, explain how Geelong could have had Meyer, Patterson and Moloney.
