There is no-one i really fell comfortable putting the remaining cash towards.

As someone who started with Lobbe in their side I don't think you can justify having him in anymore. Forces your hand as you'll need to downgrade D4 to another rookie to upgrade Lobbe.

Fantasia has to go,no to Howe.Smith the best of those three.
upgrade needed in defence for sure!
Not sold on Simpkins...did okay on the weekend,but i've seen other guys do okay that are $100k cheaper.
cockatoo in a similar boat.
With the money saved on simpkins you should have heaps of coin to upgrade fwd as well as def.
bigger balls than I to start with Lobb.

i don't see why you wouldn't spend ya money...i get people wanting to sit on around $100k for the first upgrade,or maybe a double if they could swing it.To sit on over $300k IMO is silly.you wont last two weeks with that in your kitty and not get sucked in to trades.
Personally i wont trade until at least after the first price change provided no LTI's.
30 sounds like a lot.....it's not.when your out of trades i find it takes away from the SC buzz.nothing you can do but beat yourself up for trading early and hope the other guys crash or have multiple LTI's

Use all that left over cash to upgrade both Fantasia & Lobbe to premo's and you'll have a very good team.

Changed it up a bit.
Lobbe --> Mumford
Fantasia --> Smith
and some shuffling of rookies.
I've got $77,200 left.

If you have 77k left on the eve of the season, use a mere 20 of it to turn Mumford into Martin. No brainer.
Still leaves cash for upgrades/changes.

But YES, much better after the changes you have made.

I think your backline is risky. Don't think I could be comfortable with all of gibson, KK, yeo and smith.

I think if you want DeGoey, he's got to go forward. Ceilling not high enough to warrant a mid spot. Particularly if you're set on Libba and Crouch as well.

I want to love the Ward pick, but I think there are probably better options.

Wells ... is anybody's guess. Could be brilliant, could be a "told you so" situation.

I'd only keep 1 of Libba, Crouch, De Gooooey: downgrade two of them to rookies and spend the money upgrading Brodie Smith and D.Wells to proper premos.

Have finally said goodbye to Malceski for Weitering.
I've gone Essendon crazy this week
D2 , R2 and F4 are still up for grabs but I'm happy with overall structure.
I want Steffi Martin at R2 but the gut keeps telling me to stick with NicNat.

Who would you recommend looking at in those positions?

Send DeGoey to F4, Kick out Wells and replace with one of Darcy MacPherson/Smith/Marcon or any 102k mid rookie = 143k
Crouch to Gore = 183k

Gives you 326k to upgrade BSmith to Heath Shaw and maybe KK to Rance

I think you need at least one of Shaw, Laird, Boyd, McVeigh, Houli, Rance in def. DeGoey is in my team for now, but in forwards not mids. Either up to Gray or down to Wines would be my choice for Ward. I love Ward but he's consistent without a massive ceiling.

Goodbye to Malceski is the right way to go imo. You have gone Essendon crazy - Brown and Hartley ought to stay, not sure on the others. Merrett could be an inspired pick but not sure he'll be consistent through the year. I like your structure, and I don't think there's anything wrong with having NN. He's not for me, but I understand it.

I love it a bit. I'd want a bit more backline security, but it's a minefield down there so I think I get why you've spent money elsewhere. Massive midfield. A lot of those players are in my team atm.
