Second attempt, what ways do you think i might be able to improve??
On Stephen Hill, what's the main rationale? Should score around the 95 mark going on recent seasons, and players with more upside (Wines, Parker, Shiel, or even down to Duncan?) are similarly priced. Smith down back could pay off, but too risky for me, reckon johannisen would be a better option in that range, for example, if your funds are limited. Others may disagree.

I commented on your last post so why don't you consider throwing out your opinion to others instead of just asking (which you have done with every one of your posts).
Your advice last year was great, really helped to improve my starting team, and from memory you dissuaded me from jumping on the Kreuzer / Leuenberger train as well. Which doesn't have much to do with your current post, but thought I'd mention it.

Which team looks better at this stage? Im really liking the work of Sam Grey atm..

)

So comes down to Hannebery/S.Gray v Parker/Barlow? Would prefer the Parker/Barlow option to be honest, don't personally want Barlow but think he'll average a lot more than Gray who may plateau a bit imo with the return of Wines, Polec etc.

Yep i guess that's what it mainly comes down to- fair point re Gray, just watching him the last few games and he's just everywhere. Attending so many stoppages and getting a good amount of clearances as a mid. And im with you on Barlow, not 100% confident in him which is why im not too concerned with risking Gray over him. Hanners>Parker for sure though.

The other option is downgrade Martin>Gawn and keep Barlow instead of Gray so the options would be:
Gawn/Hanners/Barlow (+24k)
Martin/Hanners/Gray (+2k)
Martin/Parker/Barlow (+40k)

Personally i've gone Gawn over Martin, and would go Gawn/Hanners/Barlow

image.jpeg Not sure on grey, crouch, Greene and smith all in there, but thinking that one or two are gonna go bang.
Just Can't seem to make myself down grade crouch give the potential output, feel like the boat would be too juicey to miss. So conflicted on it. Halp

So pretty much do I down grade one of smith/ Greene or grey and up crouch? :s

Hey mate,
Love the midfield, not sure who your m11 actually is, but very strong in mids.
Sam Gray is a good get, most will be thinking you've picked the wrong Gray, but the Power are very high on him and he's just a superstar in the making.

Brodie Smith... I kinda feel like he's going to be the Heretier Lumumba of this season. Avoid!

Not a bad side, lots of POD. I have gone right off all the $400-$470k defenders as I think they present as guys around the mark every year without getting to the top echelon. Rosa is an inspired pick and could be a good choice. Dont trust Smith after being a huge fan. Your top defence picks leave a little to be desired compared to other teams but Docherty is on an upward trajectory.

Mids are great - no issues and love the Shiel pick. Just be wary of Crouch, dont know if he will come out all guns blazing after being so long out.

Rucks are always a risk without Goldstein but if you are trying to save cash you have the two best value premos in there.

Forward line is good. Actually love the lack of Martin love. Could be just as bigger masterstroke as the POD you have picked as he does have his flaws (DE). Hopefully the cheap blokes in Gray and Greene can get it done but, at their price, I think you can wait and see and pick them up later. Wells is a no brainer for me personally.

Pretty set on this team barring rookie changes.. had Shaw for a while but have got seduced by the late '15 season and '16 preseason of Hall and Sheridan and downgrading Heath gave me a bit more depth down back and up forward.

Thoughts?

B: LAIRD, BARTEL, KOLODJASHNIJ, SHERIDAN, Brown, Hartley (Lee, Ruggles)

M: DANGERFIELD, PENDLEBURY, ABLETT, ROCKLIFF, PARKER, LIBERATORE, Mills, Gresham (Gore, Mathieson, Davis)

R: GOLDSTEIN, GAWN (Grimley)

F: MARTIN, BARLOW, HALL, Wells, Menadue, Kerridge (McCarthy, Tipungwuti-McDonald)

Approx. $40k remaining

Theres a lotta love for Weitering so you could downgrade Smith to Weitering and gain $200K for upgrades

What is everyone's thoughts on my team so far?
not sold on the structure yet, and trying to get in the best rookies, and not too many mid pricers but jeez its tempting.
Backline is a bit of a worry so far.

Also, what is everyone's thoughts on Viney? Bit expensive but would be a massive POD if he can take the next step and average 105+.
Cripps as well? had him all last year and thought he is a bit expensive this season, but he just put up 107 with 53% TOG against Sydney...kid is a genuine freak.

Dont need all 3 of Mills, Oliver and Parish in mid - better cheaper options available
YEO = stinking performances in NAB = dont pick him
reckon u have wasted too much money on your 200k+ rookies and your rucks/mids have been compromised as a result
Parish, Schache, Anderson all downgrade to cheaper options
this allows you to upgrade Suckling and McEvoy to better options
Libba at M4 is risky - shows how weak your mid is
Stringer becomes Hall IMO = Hall higher ceiling and plays predominately mid = scores of 120+ twice in NAB says it all
Otten wont play early on - GET HARTLEY IN
Wagner = Ruggles/Broad/Byrne/Adams
need to get Tipungwuti into your team (fwd) = opens up the def/fwd swing
get rid of one of Cox/Chol = dont need both
probably need Menadue, Gresham and one of Keays/Mathieson in your mid rookies, along with Davis from GC
Think u need Fyfe in there

Probably dont need Hall in your mids, waste of a mid spot - i know it is hard, but probs need to kick one of Greene and Gray from your team
People are preferring Oliver over Parish ATM. wait and see how they both perform before choosing.
I would get rid of Howard and put in Tipungwuti = opens up def/fwd swing
Probably need Fyfe in there as well.

Viney could be a good pick - im not running with him due to structure.
Cripps i wish i could start with him = massive crush on SPCripps.
