Schneider & Dempster VS Mattner & Playfair

Is anyone else annoyed that Schnieder played only 98 games for the Swams. Knowing our luck Schnieder will prodeuce many talented sons.

I wonder how many of them he will know...?

No one but a one-eyed Swans supporter could think that. I really like Dempster and am disappointed that he's gone and I don't think he had a decent run further up the ground (too much the case of Roos taking any flair out of players), but based on his performance he would have been lucky to secure a third-round pick.

I think this is spot on. I dont think Dempster would have made most peoples "best of" sides. I really think Phillips will do the job for us next year and he is an exceptional mark, which gives us a bit more of an "x-factor" in the forward half. Besides if Geelong could only get pick 90 for King and Gardiner, I think we got a fair deal....

I have huge doubts how Phillips can perform in the senior level - there's no doubt that he's a good snap shot at goal and looks to be a decent crumber. I think he'll be useful when we're playing well and everything is firing, but when our forward line isn't functioning...I hope that at the very least he had built up his motor and can make a few darting runs like the other small forwards like the Davey brothers and stokes etc.

I agree. I think Phillips has a lot to offer. He's been playing pretty good football at the reserves, kicking a bag of goals week in and week out.

Unless he produces girls. According to scientists, the boy gene is actually getting smaller and smaller. Just an interesting point...
