I think both can be true. Journalists are cooked, but if Labor were more competent, they could have given journalists fewer opportunities to pillory them.

I hate John Howard, but one thing I will say for him is that he swatted journalists aside like flies, and this was in a time where they weren't just a Liberal Party cheer squad. Albo simply hasn't brought that kind of attitude to this campaign and it's costing Labor in an election they should be winning handily.

It is not a question of competence.
We have become so conditioned to politicians just blatantly talking shit, at the drop of a hat, that anything else is seen as incompetence.

If competence is the measure...if you put ANY politician under the blowtorch that they have Albo under, NONE of them would come out looking competent.

It doesn't appear that it is a natural thing for Albo to just start talking shit.

If it was as simple as asking questions about interest rates and unemployment rates to determine whether a politician was up to it or not then we should just line them all up and start asking these questions...any wrong answer and they're out....can you imagine what sort of politicians we would end up with then?

In his first sentences he said that he "ensured manufacturing of vaccines in Australia" referring to Covid vaccines in a way that was meant to convey that we are manufacturing vaccines now in Australia. This is bullshit. Vaccine production will start in 2024, pending regulatory and planning approvals.

He is filth and a compulsive liar and the sooner this sick excuse for a human is turfed out of power and politics altogether, the far better of we will be.
