When Shorten had a pre-prepared speech he came off stilted and unnatural in my opinion, which would lead to people thinking he had a shit personality. But during the debates and off the cuff things you got the more genuine Shorten, we didn't see enough of that in the public.
Then there was the $50M of ads run by Clive Palmer attacking Labour.
That's right - Clive who?

The leftist filth on here don't actually care about the fires, they're just using them as a political point scoring tool. If they genuinely cared, they wouldn't have attacked Abbott for being a volunteer fire-fighter when he was PM.
Is there an echo in here?

How can you expect anybody in this forum to take anything you post seriously when you post rubbish like that.
FMD.

Obviously one of the fabled "Quiet Australians."

yes it is quite hypocritical considering how abrupt and clear they were about ot being clearly not acceptable for righties to point score of issues such as deaths at sea while supporting the locking up of supposed refos in asylum centres fpr example. yet i never remember conservatives openly making fun of them. then theres the ones who were quick to comment about the blatant personal attacks on gillards government and gillard from liberal politician like abbott while being happy to exhibit the very same behaviour toward abbott on things such as his volunteering and religious views.

People talk about Shorten having a crap personality but I thought he actually came up better in the TV debates, although maybe people had already made up their minds before then.

IMO the election was run smartly by the Libs, no one liked Shorten and the Libs ran very localised campaigns. When everyone whinges about the lack of policy, it’s because they focused on local issues, fixing local problems.

if you actually bothered to look properly you would discover that that this is the sam "Rubbish" that certain leftists cough cough Gough cough cough cough have no problems posting about right wing persons.

fixing? i remeber fryzo promised more car parking spaces at train stations in his patch. Except there actually no room todo so. Never heard anything more but clearly undeliverable policy.

mind you he had and was promoting an electric car while his mates were canning them nationally

It’s not just a lefty thing to the morons saying so.

Excerpt taken from Age article...

John Howard interrupted his Christmas holiday on the NSW coast in January 2003 when Canberra was hit by a firestorm that destroyed whole suburbs.

Howard used the words that went missing from Morrison's recent decision to leave the country while his
"It is very important when things like this happen, no matter where, that someone in my position demonstrates a concern and empathy," said Howard.

That 60% was from a guardian poll I believe. The people did not vote in favour of medevac at the election.
Figures of around 60% from 3 different polls. Do try to keep up.

From memory, the election was between various political opponents, not a referendum on medevac. Otherwise, why even have a parliament?

This "mandate" line is always such a dopey superficial thing to say.

By all means show some research that counters the 60% medevac support.

That one is the sitting PM of the country and the other is an ex-opposition leader and shadow minister. Pretty sure I know which one has more responsibility.
That has othing to do with what the murdoch press reporting requirements are however

Bill Shorten has got more scrutiny for losing the election from the Murdoch press than the actual PM has for his disappearing act during these fires.
Damn Murdoch!!!

For the fourth time why don't you explain how you supposedly voted against 'self interests' at the election and are well compensated? Or is this just one of the things you made up?

Your interest in my investment portfolio is both touching and none of your business. I notice you ask this of others too, are you looking for tips?

Oh, a stupid reply is all you can come up with after a whole day.

"Not really, for the most part I vote against my own interests so I'm well compensated for the electorate's idiocy."

You were just lying, weren't you?

What are you even talking about? I've seen plenty of Murdoch publications writing about ScoMo's holiday.

Voting for the Liberals is against everybody's interests. Some people are just lower IQ than others.
