Bill Shorten went into the election with strong and good polices.

Just the Murdoch, ABC, 7, 9/farifax media racket did their attack work against them and protection for Scotty from marketing, Hell they are still doing the protection racket now.
How come 5/8 states and territories have Labor leaders if all these forces are against them. Obviously you think voters are too stupid to think for themselves and you are part of the exceedingly bright minority. Give me a break.

Andrews is demanding small businesses repay a grant given by mistake by Humphrey and the rest of the Victorian public service. Small business is already under the pump and he wants the dough back. Incompetent tw.t
And that's piss poor by him and his government.

But this is the Morrison thread so what in the flying **** does it have to do with anything?

That's certainly the case with LNP voters. :)

Deflection, whataboutism and "look over there, Laybah"!!

Early/mid Gen X, I should have said.

I was born in late 1989, so in essence I grew up with Howard. I don't remember Keating at all really, nor do I remember that much from Howard's relatively competent first two terms (as a child, I was obviously not really up to things with politics, but I sympathised with the ALP as the underdog). I do certainly remember the screwups that happened in his third (Iraq) and fourth term though (WorkChoices, Haneef) and I voted against him in 2007, a couple of months after I turned 18.

Since then the LNP have been in charge more often than not, and none of the LNP governments have distinguished themselves, to put it politely. I would rank the Abbott, Turnbull and Morrison governments below Howard's.

Yes, I can certainly see why guys younger than me would dislike the LNP, and if I was an older right-winger I'd be careful of buying into the cliche that "the young 'uns always go conservative as they get older, when they get their own young 'uns!" That hasn't happened with under 40's in the US, since they're increasingly sans family, and the same happens to be happening here. Besides, why would you vote for a party that has spent your childhood screwing you?

EDIT: What's with the number 72? Someone's shirt jersey?
I had a mortgage at 18% under Keating. The bloke was and is a turnip. Now living in palatial circumstances with his superannuation that he set up with all his fancy effing clocks.

1) we dont know if Henderson's letter is re: Shorten, and even if it is, we dont know its the same complaint with no new evidence that VicPol closed

2) until then, the allegation deserves the same respect and presumption that the others from Higgins and co have received

3) Porter going to the same school as a rapist isnt evidence of guilt

Nor has Andrews despite the watered down inquiry. Who did sign those contracts, anyone know?
Rudd, Gillard anyone?

But, but, but, Labor! Yes, that's a good defence against anything bad Scummo does!

Seriously mate, if that's a reason you are bitter about Keating then you could be bitter at just about every pollie in the country. None of them are poor and plenty are seriously rich (hello Peter Dutton).

And if you are ****ed off at the level of interest rates under Keating, do a bit of research on how they went under Howard when he was treasurer.

Why we are talking about this in a Scott Morrison discussion I have no idea, but there you go.

Some pretty good indications when one of the most respected journalists in the country is willing to call it out.

Twitter casandra Angela

I am not sure whether to reproduce the tweet here or not.
Geezus, that's gross.

I'm not sure what the reference to (redacted) is about, I'd assume not that he was the alleged rapist.

Maybe that he was part of, or even embraced, a pretty ordinary culture?

Bongiorno is no fool.

He wouldn't post that in the public domain if he wasn't 100% confident in what he was saying.

What's the chances that the Federal Coalition's cabinet minister 1998 (Sydney) alleged rapist will come out and say that he was too drunk to remember what happened in the alleged 1998 rape, and then lead a program to introduce sexual consent training to all Private schools in his home State. Using himself as an uneducated 17yo (alleged) binge drinking rapist, as a case study?

Of course this will not work if his alleged victim has claimed in her emails, notes, diaries, or audio recordings, that her alleged rapist was reasonably sober or not very drunk during the violent attack.

The whole situation is as highly debate-able now, as it was back in 1986 and 1988.

Using sexual offence allegations for political point scoring is a new low in politics. Disgraceful. BTW send in WorkSafe to Parliament House and sort Morrison’s office out. Anyone buying his line that he didn’t know about the incident? Lying creep.

The alleged incident occurred in 1986.

Discussing the news, Sky News host Sharri Markson said a letter containing the allegations had been sent to Labor’s Tanya Plibersek on February 23.

Doesn't take a genius to connect the dots here.

The LNP is all about sinking to new depths. They really are beneath contempt.

Why anyone would support them is beyond me.

same thing happens with a liberal MP hang him shut parliament down lynch Scomo

It's not the same thing.

For a start, the accuser of the Labor (note the correct spelling) politician is still alive - assuming the accused is Shorten, which seems increasingly likely.

The accuser of the Liberal politician committed suicide, which is a ****ing tragedy, although extremely beneficial to the Liberal politician involved.

I don’t know much about the case so I had a read through her profile, I find it strange that no lawyer will take her case for starters and there is a lot of stuff about agenda 21, COVID not being real and chem trails etc maybe a fruit loop IDK but if she was r*ped I hope she gets justice
