The Turnbull government is being urged to resurrect death duties and Treasurer Scott Morrison isn't ruling it out.

Australia abolished its state and federal inheritance taxes almost 40 years ago but a number of economists believe the government should consider a new national scheme as part of its tax reform process

It is disconcerting that people can shame Christianity without ridicule on Easter Sunday.

You mean like by turning their worship into a public photo op during a supposed 'campaign truce'?

Just an aside, but I wonder if you're also one of those numbskulls who think that Israel Folau is being victimised by ARU because freedom of speech.

Hits back at people on the internet for bagging him being a churchy.

Newsflash dickhead , people have been bagging you for that for ages and you only NOW mention it ??

Still dodging :

Watching goldenshower ignore the multinationals argument again as it doesnt fit his narrative

Repost: i love when someone dodges a point completely or just mouths platitudes. It really helps those who are undecided as to who has facts and figures on their side and who is just bullshitting their way out of a corner.

Not sure what I'm avoiding. This Lib Government and the Conservative Government in the UK have taken more action in recent years against multinationals than many other nations.
Still avoiding.

They cut the section of the tax department that deals with multinationals by 3000.

<<<<The Tax Office was one of the agencies hardest hit by the Abbott government's debut budget in May. The main union representing the bulk of Tax Office staff, the Community and Public Sector Union, recently surveyed 100 ATO staff mostly working in the compliance area. Its results were depressing. It found that 75 per cent felt the Tax Office budget cuts had affected the agency's capacity to monitor and audit companies at risk of tax avoidance.
Staff comments from the survey included that the "drain of skills" had impacted morale and left staff questioning their future at the organisation. Staff feel "debilitated" over the knowledge bank the agency has lost and that some staff remaining are "inexperienced and fatigued".>>>

Basically they left administrators alone - and auditors - the sharp end - the front line - were retrenched.

They took millions of dollars from a lobby group that operates worldwide to stop governments doing anything about multinational tax avoidance

As i mentioned before, apple paid even less on its multibillion dollar earnings this year than it did last: essentially only gst.

They paid almost zero tax on earnings of around 9 billion dollars.

- Invites cameras in to his Church to take photos of him praying and shaking hands, despite calling a truce on campaigning over Easter.
- Photos published in the paper with gloating headlines.
- People criticise it.
- Melts down at "keyboard warrior lefties".

Yep, sounds about right.

Scott Morrison says "keyboard warriors in their mother's basement" lol how many people in Australia actually have a basement? The guy is a idiot.

That sounds like something Trump would say. In fact, I reckon he may have.

Perhaps you should have read the whole article not the union bit. It actually proves your points are wrong. And of course you havent even attempted to address the point that the LNP actually got more tax money from foreigners unlike the usual do nothing but talk ALP.

Nearly one quarter of 2200 cuts that had been dished out at that date had come from the audit team, which investigates and enforces tax compliance by individuals and multinational companies

Asked how a loss of such a significant number of auditors would not have an impact, the Tax Office responded: "More than 5000 auditors remain at the ATO. As a result of the ATO redundancy program about 500 staff have left our audit area, including staff in management and support roles. As we rebalance our remaining workforce over the next few months, we expect the net reduction to be much lower."

Scumos stunt seems to have backfired in a big way.

PS The goss is even many traditional church goers frown on the show bizzy Pentecostals.

for me it's very disturbing seeing this..wtf is he trying to achieve, Paul Keating described Howard as a sycophant and that fits this nutjob perfectly too.

I don't want to see the PM of this country parading around in this manner, it's downright dangerous.

This is the favoirite hobby of the right-wing politician: cut taxes for very well-off people, then turn your pockets inside out and say you haven't got the money to fix shambolic hospitals, fund public schools to your own standard, or provide adequate support to vulnerable people.

And that is exactly what the Liberals want to do if they happen to stay in for the next decade.

**** off you lying fools.
