You have to balance that with games being competitive especially in Div 1. No one wants teams to win or lose by 20 goals or more every week.

They're not the only club. Appears that there's a self demotion battle going on between 2 clubs
Just to be absolutely clear. There is absolutely no truth to the rumour of East Brighton requesting to go down. Genuinely laughable.
Club is working tirelessly to move on in the right direction after, what was, a challenging year.

Do you want a team of basically under 19s running around in Div 1 and getting trounced?

Is that fair on all those new people involved especially all the young players coming up from the juniors who are going to have to suffer as their team gets trounced by 20 goals each week.

We could lose them to footy.

What's happening in the Riddell league , seeing you are on there as well , any EBV going there

Nepo: "Hey Siri? Tell us everything you know about the Riddell District Football League so that I sound knowledgeable!"

Just because I know more people in local footy than you do. Look around, most guys our age have an affiliation with a local team somewhere. You only have to have a chat with them, and they tell you lots of things. Most of the stuff I don't even share with you.

Some big name players are on the move if you simply ask around.

O’Brien from StPauls heading to east Doncaster.
Heard a couple more moving on at StPauls .
McComb brothers out of colts .

Any other list updates ???

The loss of Matt O'Brien at St Pauls is huge. How they lose him is beyond me. He is a ball magnet. He was a junior through their program. Twice won their best and fairest and second once and one year out injured with a knee. O'Brien Played 5 games in the Collingwood VFL side and Tom Mitchell was very impressed by him. They should have thrown as much money at him as they can. How they lose their best player is beyond me?

A much better comp and on much better money. Not sure what is so difficult to comprehend.

Definitely a better comp. But gee, you need to keep those iconic players that have come through your juniors and win senior b and fs with 10 years of great play in front of them. There are certain players that you have to do anything to keep.

Local footy is littered with clubs whose demise is directly linked to breaking the bank on one or two players. If rumours are true a couple within this division are in serious strife for doing exactly that. No one player is bigger than the club and sometimes to preserve the fabric of the place you are better off letting them go. St.Pauls not known for paying big bucks. Have also been in Div 1 for longer than I can remember and regularly at the pointy end. To an outsider I think their culture and way they operate is pretty strong.

In general, you are correct but there are exceptions to every rule, Matt Obrien is a two-time b and f winner at the age of 22 who is aligned to the junior club. You have just let a guy who for the next 10 years would have been your best player walk out the door, and I know that the St Pauls faithful are filthy about it.
