I heard Eley park (might be EFL actually) and St. Johns to southern.

I just look at EFL clubs now and if you don’t have your house in order, don’t have jnrs and money it just takes one big blow up / one big exodus and you’re stuffed. The writing is on the wall with this one

Eley Park (or BHN, or Chadstone) would be nuts to go to EFNL. Bulleen-Templestowe went from the bottom of D2 and they are now second last. Mt Lilydale went from third last in D4 (equivalent position to these three now) to EFNL in 2019, finished the year winless, and have never won more than 4 games in a season (though they are on track to do better this year). If EP (or the others) went over, they'd get belted.

More importantly, if they run short of players, EFNL doesn't have a thirds comp for them to have a respite in. All have needed to do so in the past.

Maybe they could go to SFNL but whatever AFL agency controls transfers (used to be Vic Metro, forget what it is called now) would have no reason to let them go there. All three were in SFNL but that was an oddity caused by their being in ESCFA. Centre of gravity of SFNL has moved south and EP / BHN would be extreme outliers (except for South Yarra).

Your actually correct. It’s why stjohns want to move to SFL. clubs want to start paying players to get them in.

Where would BHN (or any similar club) find the coin? Supporters are not exactly thick on the ground and local businesses have no reason to sponsor them in an area where few people go and watch footy. Out of the frying pan, into the fire.

100%. East Malvern looks to be in a great place. Seniors still right up there (having blown 3qt leads in there 2 defeats) and they're reserves unbeaten, and picking 24 in the reserves every week.

In saying that HP get a lot back, and I think are current senior premiership favourites, which then only strengthens their reserves.

I do still think they are top 2, despite Highett beating them both.

Might not be to relevant but a lot of endeavour hills reserves side (from 2024) seem to be chasing a 3s flag as div 2 a bit hard for them? can anyone confirm if this is the same group of players who dont pay subs and bragged about playing 3s right after they lost a 2s gf? pretty cowardly imo and still not on top of 3s ladder

I think most of them left to play 3s because Sonny is coaching and they are all good mates with him.

Yep a few of these guys have just wanted to play 3s and basically had there own side in previous years it’s poor form if they can play better football i think iv seen this happen at a few clubs and they got sick of it and pulled there thirds out Skye over the years have had some really good players just playing 3s at times and for reserve coaches it’s frustrating and can divide a club in some cases if there older players who just want a kick and not train fair or just not good enough to play reserves fair enough I think

I doubt that these guys are paying their subs this year, the club should just tell to get on their bike and find another club! You can't have the tail wagging the dog!! Leadership needed from the Top!

Some very handy players in that team, most under 30. Very different to the Hills 3s that played last year. I would be so flat if I was the 2s coach.

Speaking of the Hillbillies, just noticed on the SFNL suspension page that a 2’s EHills player has copped 17 weeks over 4 incidents.

I think what happened was that he threatened the umpire and called him every name under the sun. The umpire was 15 years old.

Has anyone got any news on why Josiah Kyle and why he hasn't appeared for Endeavour yet? He played prac matches but hasn't played during the season. He was always going to just bail as hes extremely unreliable, but interested to hear any news on it

I’m pretty sure he bailed went to Berwick played a couple games and that’s it. What a waste of talent

Looking at results, they will struggle to make the GF, embarrassing that their 2's are being beaten by a clubs 3rds!
