Shaun Higgins VS Marc Murphy

Whow ill be better.

Murphy has made an impact already and is playing some good footy, possibly a somkey brownlow vote getter. Could one day hold a leadership position at the blues.

Higgins has been injured and still looks to not have reached his potential, yet is shaping as a star already. Can kick bags, tack excellent contested marks, can play as an outside midfielder, is an incredible and will be the future Bulldogs captain.

Both will be in the top 10 midfielders in the league in 5 years time, but who would you prefer as a long term prospect?

Higgins for me and that is taking nothing away from Murphy, I just think Higgins is going to be a top 5 player in the AFL within the next few years. He has every trick in the book and his footskills are excellent.

Murphy has made some big improvements in his ball use in 2009. However Higgins just oooozes class!! pin point kicking awesome vision and the athletic ability and hardness to win his own ball. I'm going Higgo

Higgins will be the type of player to just rip apart a match with 3-4 goals in a quarter. When he finally matures and gets full fitness he will be nothing short of a superstar.

Murph is good no doubt, but Higgins is something special i reckon.

Higgins got 27 touches and kicked a goal in a side playing terribly. You make it sound like he went head to head with murphy all day and got smashed which is just not the case.

Both will be 200 game stars for their clubs but I'll take Higgins. Just has so much class and ticks all the boxes.

Yeah.. when you say someone beat someone else, it usually implies that they were playing head to head.

Both look to be guns, but if Higgins can stay injury free and get a few solid pre-seasons under his belt he will be a class above.

Murphy's gearbox is stuck in forward, needs to find the reverse button.


He looks great to young kids, but most people worth their salt realise he has ALOT of work to do with his defensive game.

Higgins is a different sort all together, plays the "Aker" roll, with bursts in the midfield/forward line.



Id prefer Higgins, purely because he is alot more damaging with the ball in his hands, and because Murphy hurts Carlton with his "front running"

I rate Murphy, but I'd take Higgins. He's a classier user of the footy. The only thing that worries me about him is his durability.

Higgins gets the vote for me. Before this year he was a nobody to me but over the course of the year, he has impressed me greatly.

Higgins seems injury prone and perhaps doesn't find the footy as much as Murphy. But I believe Higgins will be the better player eventually (body permitting) because his ball use and overhead marking is significantly better than Murphy's even at this stage.

I like Carlton bashing as much as anyone, but this poll should be a lot closer. Murphy still has some room to grow and is currently quite a bit more productive.

I would probably still take Higgins though.
