It's getting better, only one two three rain delays this session so far :thumbsu:

Another later edit because Sydney is Sydney.

To be fair - at the end of day 2, 139 overs have been bowled (41 short), but with a 30 minute early start and extension before stumps tomorrow, without any 'further delays', the match will have almost caught up to the expected total overs usually completed at the end of day 3...?

Regardless, I've seen enough wash outs/rain affected draws over the years at the SCG to support the notion of simply swapping Sydney with Adelaide in terms of scheduled dates/test venues....

Big picture, isn't the real issue that CA should be maximising attendance for Test matches, yet they give a prime slot to a piddly ground which caters for less people than the Adelaide and Perth venues.

Before the decade is through, even the Gabba will have more seats than the SCG which will remain at 48k capacity until the tin sheds are flattened/relocated by the cyclonic local weather.

Melbournites would be better if they took the same lead. It just makes the city look like it has a chip on it's shoulder.
And your comment about Melbournites is spot on, except I found that Melbourne was better than everywhere according to them.
Melburnians, on the other hand... We're simply cricket and footy (and occasionally tennis) lovers who hit the jackpot, and celebrate that fact accordingly. We do have a chip on our shoulder, though it's just because our city's rightful status as national capital was stolen by Canberra (now there's a shithole).

Seems silly that one of your marquee games is consistently affected by rain and there is no discussion about moving it except for Shane Warne.

It's for a great cause but it almost feels like the Sydney test has become a charity tele-a-thon.

Warne the only one brave enough to put it out there

I have spent a large portion of my life in Nerang. I know a shithole when I see it.

I’d feel safer walking around in midnight in Nerang than I would anywhere in Sydney.

I am partial to just nuking the entire city, perhaps even the entire state, and starting again.

Just my opinion.
State sounds good. NSW is that shithole you drive through to get to Qld.

Should cut them loose and push them to NZ so they can tell someone who cares about how good they are at bumsniffing rugby

CA staff want to take sponsors and other key stakeholders to the fireworks and then a week's worth of piss-ups in corporate boxes. Most of them live in Sydney or Melbourne so it won't change.
