If you believe our midfielders can have periods where they get dominated by players 5 years younger and not touch the ball for 15 minutes then perhaps you don't understand the game that is AFL. You know how opposition teams pile like 4 or 5 goals on Freo within short bursts? That's what happens the midfield goes to sleep, like in the second quarter. And guess who is the leader of our midfield? Some of the blame must go to him for our crappy midfield, even if he gives us a 28 disposal game.

If Mundy was great for 3 quarters but gave the other team 15 goals in one quarter would he still be considered great by the people here? It will be good once we get some other quality midfielders back so we aren't relying upon Mundy to do things he can't, but it just bothers me when he is our most paid and senior midfielder and can't deliver performances outside a narrow range.

You're talking shit Memories.
Make your trolls semi decent at least

Memories, I know you've spent the majority of your life punching and kicking goal posts to turn your bones into something resembling superhuman categorisations of strength, but I was wondering if you've built your testicles in the same way?

After taking years of punishment to the testicles, they too can become as hard as bone. Apparently.

I was just wondering if you've adopted this method of training, and if it would be useful for training amongst our playing group - especially players like Mundy?

Yes, curse Mundy and him giving up 15 goals in a quarter to the other team!

In fact, we don't even have to go to hypotheticals here. You know who the leader of the midfield of the last team that gave up 15 goals in a quarter was?

Gary Ablett against the Dons. And what a terrible player he is.

But please, I implore you to keep trying :thumbsu:

Awesome. Just awesome.

"When I first started taking hits to the testicles there was a lot of fear..."

Really? Really?? I am Jack's complete lack of surprise.

There are some great quotes throughout that.

"No cup, no nothing - just nuts."

"A man just shouldn't take a blow like that."

I dare anyone to watch that without laughing their ring off.

It's amazing!

I was out after 5 seconds of viewing.

Video - "Previously on Sports Science we brought in the biggest idiot on the planet"

prattsta - "That would be tough there are a lot of idiots, I wonder who..."

prattsta - "...nope, they picked the right guy, no doubt about it."

They hadn't even mentioned testicles yet.

Note: I gotta say I love the fact that the warm-up to a kick to the nuts, possibly leading to a ruptured testicle and/or broken pelvis, is a hit to the throat which could lead to death.

Can someone please recruit Memories to handle the Fremantle contracts, I am sure there are 16 and soon to be 17 other AFL clubs that would like to deal with Mundy's lack of effort.

Give us Mitch Robinson for him and you have a deal my friend.

(We may need to throw in a 3rd/4th rounder as a sweetener, but we'll see how we go)

Robinson, tough call, glad you decided to throw in the sweetener, might have just got the deal over the line.

Being serious, Mundy is one of the most underrated midfielders in the AFL, class act.

Mems, the reason no one bothers to write some kind of coherent response is because it's just not possible. To write what you have indicates more about your level of projection than it does football issues: i.e. we are the ones who don't understand AFL.

Personally, I find what you have written so just so fundamentally flawed as a piece of football logic, I could only respond to it in long drawn out, simplistic terms.

And even then, given you wrote what you did and how you respond generally, there's every chance you would dismiss an alternative argument on the gounds that we do not know what we are talking about.

You'll know I'm barking up the right tree when you admit to yourself that there is no way anyone can change your mind on this, and more than a few other topics.

You can have your opinion about me, but if I was unchangeable on a viewpoint I would be a moron. But if it makes it easier for you to categorize me or others in such a manner then by all means.
