Disapointed to see MaCarthy in the squad. I didnt think he played well in the 2s at all but if there was to be a change id say buckley for macaffer.

Bloody hell, Goldsacks a bit stiff not to even get into the 25.

Clearly the equal best player in the VFL last week alongside Buckley, yet Lockyer and McCarthy get in ahead of him.

Buckley deserves at least to be emergency though.

Couldn't say the same about McCarthy, was pretty ordinary last week.

Once again, I hope Lockyer doesnt play, will be exposed by Carltons pace.

For me, I hope the final changes are;

NO CHANGE.

Macaffer is probably the only one at risk (for bucks i guess?).. but we probably need him given carlton's tiny forward line

doubt McCarthy will come in, can't really see who will get dropped in order to fit him in..

Lockyer will be ok, won't expect 25+ possessions from him, but i'll be happy to leave him at half forward if he does play

Jacobs has been fairly reasonable with his tap work when he's played AFL in the past.

Around the ground he doesn't do a heap though. Jolly should eat him alive.

He was being talked up as the next great ruckman at Carlton, now he's just a a slow lumbering dud.

Waite would play against us you would assume, has a great record against us.

Bower the only other "dangerous" in, the rest are plain duds.

The biggest positive is Leroy Brown has been squeezed out completely.

Funnily enough, Leroy and O'Bree look to have been fazed out. Obviously it's a long season, however, reading Rowdy's comments about O'Bree in particular in the VFL report where he used the phrase"acclimatising to the VFL" suggests to me this looks to be the case.

Lockyer hasn't been fazed out as of yet and IMO still offers something in our best 22 when in form.

Goldy very stiff to miss selection this week.

No chance of McCarthy coming in for Macaffer? Haven't seen much of either at VFL level but J-Mac seems to play mostly on a forward flank in the ones, as did Macaffer last week (I think, didn't actually see him much at all)?

Leon Davis didn't train today, so I'm guessing that's why McCarthy has been named.

Leon had a corked thigh in last weeks game, so they will probably give him every chance to play.

If Leon misses, you'd think it would be a gameday change.

Did the same thing.

They tried to have Buckley playing a tagging role in the Pre Season. Not sure it was that successful. I don't know that we have a ready made tagger so the point might be moot.
