As the title says, I am a high school teacher. My history class will be reciting John Macrae's "In Flander's Fields" at the Remembrance Day assembly, much to their chagrin.
Yesterday, a student brought this note to me, written by her father, to explain why she would not be able to attend on November 11th.
Sorry, had trouble posting the note. Here it is:
Does anyone know what JB HI FI are like with pre-orders?
I was just on their website and noticed that if I pre-order from there it's not available to pick up in store, it says they will deliver for free.
What I want to know is will they deliver on the 11th?
I don't mind either picking it up in store or having it delivered as long as I get it on the 11th. If I have to go through the entire weekend hearing from other people about how awesome it is I think I'll shit myself. (srs)

I haven't played any Elder Scrolls games but I loved Fallout 3 and NV because of the exploration. Will I like this?

Then you will love it
Oblivion is still a great game as well.

Yeah good - instore anyway. I've pre-ordered from JB a few times instore, and never had a problem getting the game on release day. I usually do it with big name games just to make sure they'll have my copy put aside if they sell out.
I've never tried pre-ordering online with them though, so aren't sure there sorry. If I were buying it on PS3 for myself, I would be pre-ordering instore at JB (I pre-ordered on Steam a while back). Unless different JBs make a difference? But yeah, my local one is good.
One pre-order I did get instore, I were under the assumption that I would get the pre-order bonus I'd seen on the website (Fallout 3 I think it was?), but it ended up they were for online orders only. GTAIV on the other hand, I did get the pre-order bonus. IIRC, both were crappy bonuses anyway, so didn't really care either way. But with the guide as the bonus, it could be worth double checking that you'll get that, if instore.

Not bad If you don't mind waiting a few days, with Battlefield to keep me busy it shouldn't be too hard.
