I levelled smithing to 100 in about an hour. Sat at Whiterun smith and bought all their leather (in store and the woman outside) and turned it into leather bracers. Waited two days and bought their stock again. Kept doing that until I hit 100. If you have some gear that reduces prices it can be done fairly cheaply.

Yup this is one of the things my mate did to get to level 50 on like the second day.

Enjoying this game more than I expected, not at all interested in doing quests so have just been going from place to place kicking arse which I didn't expect to be viable but it appears it is!

Just curious, when the quest line is finished does the Night Mother just keep giving you small quests to do? Or does it finish after those? I have done the bulk of it, (or all) and im not sure if im finished.

From what ive read, she will keep giving you those killing quest forever. but the storyline facet of it is over.

As someone who has never really played an Elder Scrolls game...how do I get souls into soul gems? I mean, is there a way I can do it without needing that conjuration spell? If not, can I buy that spell from someone? I just don't use magic, ever.

A thing that I really enjoy is that enemies don't always attack you. There is a bit of intelligence. This can include giants, Stormcloak gangs and other bandits. If you get too close they will say something like "this doesn't concern you" instead of just openly attacking you. This is much more realistic.

I was travelling back to Whiterun from Solitude with a companion and we past a Stormcloak camp. I got the "this doesn't concern you speech" as the Stormcloak soldier got out his weapon. Having recently joined the legion though, and with the expectation of some decent loot, I decided to attack anyway. Cleared them all out pretty comfortably except for the leader. I could tell he was the leader because he had a name, not just a generic "Stormcloak solider" title. I can't remember the name. The thing is, he just wouldn't die. You would take his health down to zero and he would just crouch down on the ground panting for 10-15 seconds. Similar things happen to your companions but they can eventually die.

In the end I just ran around the camp looting stuff and occasionally had to "kill" the Stormcloak guy whenever he got back up, but my companion largely dealt with him.

I can understand why this happened, obviously this NPC has some role to play later in the story, but I reckon they could have dealt with it a bit better.

I hate the fact enemies always attack at camps. I go to a building and it's bandit run and they just attack. Would be cooler if they assessed the situation.

I joined the Stormcloaks. Does this mean all imperials will be hostile towards me even if I wear different armour?

Was wondering how you get new spells? Do you buy them, learn them by levelling up, levelling up skills or talking to people to teach you these spells?

The spell is called Soul Trap. Cast it on whoevers soul you want to capture, and then kill them in the specified time limit. You will then have captured their soul.
You can also enchant weapons will a soul trap ability, so you dont always need the spell.

Most court mages will sell it, i'd say. I can't remember who I bought it from.

You buy a spell book from mages, shopkeepers, whoever. Then you read the book, and you learn the spell.
Some people may teach you a spell for a quest reward too, but I haven't seen any yet.

Cant explain why i enjoy walking from one place to the next so much but **** me it good
Apparently a patch is coming out for xbox graphics issues ?
It looks great to me and never had problems
The fact that the 360 is pretty old now and still pumping out quality looking games like skyrim and BF3 is pretty impressive imo

I always rated Gears of War 2 as one of the best looking games I have seen.

Just finished the College of Winterhold quest-line. Way too short. Would have thought it would be a lot longer than Oblivion's but it's at least half as short.

If you don't like these sorts of games is it worth trying it anyways? I just keep hearing good things about it. Maybe I'll give it a shot.

I don't like these type of games much
Almost think its mostly geeky
But something about skyrim will suck anyone in if they give it the time

I love the slow-mo perk for archery. It's so awesome. I just shot a skeleton that was on the complete other side from me in an enormous room. I had to wait a few seconds after I had shot to hear the hit noise. It made me feel like god.

I'm about to choose someone to get married to, what is involved after the ceremony?

Does your partner provide you any benefits or after a few days does she head back to the Temple and file for divorce taking 50% of your possessions...

Don't rush it IMO, I did a quest for some hot looking NPC and didn't get the option to marry. Instead I got into a bar fight with some butch chick and got married to her afterwards. Worst decision of my life, now I have to kill her cause theres no divorce option.

Hahaha thanks buddy, I was about to make the same mistake. The Njord butch you have a brawl with in the bar in Whiterun. I'll stay clear of her!

Theres a poor looking girl int the market place Ysolda (sp?) that was interested... Might google first and find out who's the best partner.

This is one of the funniest things I've ever read about this game.

I married the archer girl from the Companions. She ended up opening a shop and lets me live off half of the profits. I usually get around 1200 bucks if I swing by after I finish a quest.
