Anyone attend the league meeting on Sunday night? Fines for not fielding a reserves team in Div 4 throughout the year.

So if clubs want to save money just play in the 25 team thirds competition. Seriously, absolute joke!

There has always been a fine. It's up to the league to levy it.

Great news, good on them! Did everything they could to survive last year and didn’t take the easy option to move to the 25 team Third’s division.
Hearing there could be some new teams joining the 25 team Third’s Division from the MPNFL? Any truth in that?

A thirds comp is understandably popular in some areas, some people enjoy running around and having a kick without the time and training requirements that are expected with playing senior or reserves footy.

Footy is one of the few sports that doesn't have a more social option so it is filling that gap. Almost all other sports do... there's social midweek basketball happening every night of the week, same with tennis, soccer has indoor and 5-a-side, you can always find a game of cricket at a s**t level if you want it, there are endless grades.

The thirds comp is popular for that reason, and the fact that surrounding comps refuse to implement one means that all the teams go to the SFNL.

Top 4 predictions, leading goal kicker and top 3 in the league medal. who's claiming them.
Hampton
Hallam
Moorabin
Lyndale

Goal kicker: would not have a clue, probably a Hampton or Hallam player ? Comp isn’t swamped with notable
forwards.

Medal count/best players:
S jackson , H sharlassian, D velardo
J dunkley, j Timms, z Cookson, h Greenville ( could win again ), t bellinger. M carter, j Belfrage.

Again very rough estimate and based off of prior knowledge, so probably missed some more notable names.

Its a wide open year I think it’s one of the best years we’ll see from
Div 4 since the start of the division in 2018. Goodluck to all teams can’t wait too see how it all pans out.
