Roast So, when does Burgess start getting some scrutiny?

Elephant in the room. We are slow, can't run, lack core strength, can't stick tackles. Teams out muscle us in the middle and glide past us on the outside. Its been this way for 18 months now.

We, and He can't live off 3 months of football at the start of 2014 any more. Since then, we've been nowhere physically.

When do questions start getting asked of our fitness regime? We still look and play like a pack of middle distance runners.

Yep needs to be shown the door. Get in someone who knows how to train footballers and not runners although we dont even look like we can do that at the moment.

If we were jogging around not bothering to run both ways while our opponents run all over us late in second halves, maybe you could blame Burgess. When we're jogging around not bothering to run both ways while our opponents run all over us 5 minutes into the first quarter, it's mindset.

Everybody's looking to blame everything on Hinkley, Voss, Burgess, Bassett, the runner, the bootstudder, whoever else they can find today, but it's down to the players. It's not fitness, it's laziness.

This thinking maybe correct when it's one or two players, but a whole team?

No doubt mindset is an issue, but we don't run and we aren't strong enough. Simple as that.

We have one pace. Thats it. A lot of teams have gone past us physically and we haven't kept up at all.

If they are "lazy" then they are lacking motivation, which unfortunately comes back to Hinkley.

We were the fittest team in the league in 2014, but in the 1950s Melbourne were an unstoppable powerhouse.

What have you done for me lately, Ken and Darren?

They're fully grown adults getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to play the game they love at the highest level in front of a nationwide audience. If they need Ken Hinkley to motivate them then there's something wrong. Which comes back again to mindset.

Nah. Mindset is precisely what "coach"ing is supposed to influence.

It is the players. But it all comes down from the coaches above. They need someone to help Hinkley and they need to get a new hypnotherapist in.

I actually blame the hypnotherapist, since that stunt we have been crap.

I can't see Burgess getting heaps of scrutiny though because whilst I agree I think we've got some serious structural issues and our game plan has stunk for over a year now. Hinkley and Voss have to be under the pump.

AhChee cant run. Boak cant run. Ebert cant run. Hartlett cant run. Toumpas cant run. Wines can barely move let alone run. Young cant run.

Yep, they just need to try harder.

Shiel just ran away from Ebert like our man was in concrete boots. "Effort".
