Depth helps massively! I've been bangin on about it for years, we must retain the strength of our depth. Playing in a winning side is awesome for the development of our kids. It also means that training levels are permanently higher for the senior guys. And I personally feel that it is one of the reasons why our first quarters are often so good, because we come into games sharp and ready.

The other thing that's great is having a fit second side. It means these guys get consistency in their games and get the opportunity to really develop and improve. Players like Johnson who hasn't played consistent footy will benefit from it massively if they can keep playing and go through and have a full preseason.
