I reckon Dawson is the level headed leader, captain and player someone like Petracca would respect greatly.Apparently he met with the suns leadership group prior to tonight’s b+f.
I’m hoping we got at least some players for our presentation. Pretty sure Daws was away which doesn’t help.
There was a lot being said last year about he and his family being unhappy about the way Melbourne dealt with that serious injury he copoed in the King's birthday game last year. It seems a fair bit of disillusionment may have set in after that?In thinking why Petracca is wanting out from Melbourne, does anyone actually know? We know he wants out. We know this has endured at least a year. We know he has Adelaide in his considerations.
Why?
The only reason he wants to leave is because of the dysfunction at Melbourne. Real or perceived by Trac. This could be bad relationship with some players, or with the management, the incoherent and unprofessional overarching strategy of the club or even he sees pure hubris in the corridors of power. The club has had quite a few troubles over the recent past but whatever the problem, we know it's reached the divorce stage for Petracca.
Adelaide has had a couple of player indiscretions over the past few years, (Walker and Rankine) but apart from that, we've been...
.Stable
.Collegiate
.Building
.Growing
.Climbing (ladder)
.Exciting
.Supportive (other than the toothless Rach taunt)
.Professional
We've retained our players and attracted other players to the club.
It's still easy to feel bad about our September but overall, I think we offer a lot to a player looking to escape a bin fire. I hope Petracca comes to us.
Gold coast might be a sexy destination with it's....well it is the Gold coast afterall. But although little miss bleach blonde silicone boobs Gold coast is a fun fling for a few weeks, little miss Adelaide is the marrying type. Someone you can properly love and can properly return that love.
Trac will be adored by Crows fan and he'll love them in return. We're a loyal bunch and I think he'll enjoy that stable and secure environment.
I think Christian Petracca looks like a guy who can see the depth of opportunity our club offers him.
Yeah. That was the story but this is deeper than a mismanaged injury. There was a lot being said last year about he and his family being unhappy about the way Melbourne dealt with that serious injury he copoed in the King's birthday game last year. It seems a fair bit of disillusionment may have set in after that?

What if you don't get any years of good service from Sharp?Ok. Hypothetical:
Two firsts for Trac.
Two firsts to move up the order, giving us Sharp?
I’d pick the latter. Two firsts for a couple of years of good service is too much to pay.
Gold Coast beaches are overrated.
I struggle to believe anyone would take JUH…steer clear.
Did the curfew stop him flying out?Trac stayed here overnight mate
Who won the flag. And got belted in a final and nearly at full strength against a weakened Lions side.
Because it wont. That's the problem none of you are aware.
Sounds like a geelong opportunity to employ the wife and cut ANB’s salary for “performance related reasons”This is where ANB wife comes into it, a lot easier to move states if you know someone there quite well.
You forgot...... cockroaches galore.
Are we talking about the insects or people?
Got a bit of info last night
Petracca discussion with the club was not just about on-field role - lots of questions on favourites, high performance team and recovery
He left with following info
- although Burgo is leaving, he has established the clubs conditioning and rehab practices moving forward
- new facilities construction is ahead of time
- new training facilities will be world class and the recovery facilities was designed by Burgo himself
Obviously Melbourne Dees don’t have the best training facilities and GC facilities are not up to AFL standards either.
Not saying he will commit to Adelaide but this could be a factor in his decision given his previous concerns around Melbourne medical team and training facilities
Hey guys he arrived with no luggage and very casual trackies he wore on plane home along with wife in same clothes.Pretty sure that footage of him leaving was from later the same day, no?
Lots of getting worked up here. I don’t really care too much either way. It’s not like it’s NWM, or even a Bailey.View attachment 2443602
Sums up how it feels reading about people comparing cities, the weather, coffee, beaches and a whole lot of other crap as for why Petracca is going to swing one way or another.
You can offer the Lions all you like, they arent letting him go.Lots of getting worked up here. I don’t really care too much either way. It’s not like it’s NWM, or even a Bailey.
I would much prefer to offer Bailey 1.2m ish on a long term deal and offer the 2 x firsts to Lions. Petracca is 30 and has past his best. If we miss him so be it.
