People are trying to pick apart a race to make excuses for a $1.20 shot who had every chance to win. Obviously trying to find something to blame for jumping into the shorts. The horse just wasn't good enough

Was a lazy 5 seconds outside the record and over a second slower than the earlier race over the same distance. It was SLOW.

I did not bet on the race.

TAB website now shitting itself and not loading a thing. Every year it is like this on the big days during the spring and not being able to get on coupled with terrible load times. Derby day is usually the worst from memory.

I did not bet on the race.

Half the field was coming out of a Morphetville race, it was a slow over all time because it was a rubbish field

much the same... i remember doing well when Maldivian won, but other than that Cox Plate day has always sucked.

perhaps i shouldn't complain - i had Vatuvei in my quaddies, so i probably have less right to whinge than others.

On the contrary if you know the track it is the best one to bet on.

Always runs softer then the rating & it suits a horse that has a short burst in them after coming up the hill. Leaders win when they let them coast, backmarkers come rolling over the top when they go too early.

Its a track you want the best jockey which has me leaning back to Green Moon for the Cox Plate.

IIRC the only time I've ever ended up in front was 2010, about 500 up after race 3 with the rest of the days bets payed for but didn't get another cent.

Crack a Roadie & Super Cool only 2 winners.

Out of Quaddie and wasted $20 on Precedence, missed every other race with luxbet being down.
Spent $77.50 up $63.25.

Don't like this next race, Tokugawa maybe on the track only.

i've only seen it once - my initial reaction was that ambidexter could have a protest against silent achiever. it looked like SA shifted in front as they straightened for home.

with that said, ambidexter was out of it by then.

Fair enough, while we're talking winners without posting your bets before the race is run I just made 90 bucks on Silent Achiever and have 1,4,5,11 going in the R/D twice and 9 twelve times

I like "Loaded" in the next in NSW. Has form around It's a Dundeel and had a forgive run last start when smashed and blocked for a run. I have followed it for a while now and back to its pet distance is a nice E/W bet at around 18-1. Should run well hopefully and has a jockey change today.

Exacta's with Brown Doubt and Soros as savers in case they beat Loaded.
