Fair point, it was one of Netflix's most watched shows ever, including by English speakers. If ever a show didn't need an English adaptation, surely this is it.

Watched Hasan Minhaj's stand-up special. I found his last one pretty uninspiring, but this one was much better, pretty tight and laugh out loud funny. A bit more edgy at times as well, he seems a bit angry. Which brings me to the only criticism, that he underplays the controversy about his embellishments, tries to paint himself as a victim. There are legitimate concerns about just how far from the truth he strayed previously.

It's quite rare that a foreign Asian tv series reaches a wider audience to even the most casual Western TV viewers who would normally not watch such subtitled shows. So it's baffling why they feel it's necessary to make an English language version.
