What is the upside for Sri Lanka? Mathews and Chandimal aside I don't like much about them.

Their crop of fast bowlers is terrific considering the conditions they would be a ccustomed to. Have got a good depth of prospects who have plenty of years ahead of them in that department.

Have been sceptical re. Hales, but think it's time to agree that he has what it takes to succeed in tests. Not first XI when Stokes returns, but am glad to see Woakes finally enjoy some well earned success for his efforts too.

Always liked Compton. You could tell he probably wanted to succeed too badly. Hope he can work through whatever issues he's currently having and return to playing good county cricket - prolific at that level.
