St.Kilda's VS 3AW

This is the most funny and amusing stoush between an radio station and a footy club I've heard of in a long time.
Basically the $hit really is hitting the fan and I doubt Rod Butteress the Saints president will ever appear on that station again.
This all stemed from a report on their morning show 'rumour' file a couple of weeks ago about a couple of allegations on Saints players which proved to be untrue.

Good to hear! Anybody know if there was any apologies or retractions! Didn't Derryn "Lynch" challenge Milne to sue him? Sorry if this is going over old ground.

It was amusing the length of time that Hunt, DiPierdominico and co spent piously distancing gthemselves from Mitchell and Hinch and impliedly threatening St kilda that it needed 3AW more than 3AW needed St kilda.

Any spin doctor wil tell you the standard defence against this sort of thing is to :-

1. Deny all allegations.

2. Attempt to discredit the accuser.

3. Shoot the messenger.

4. Paint yourself as the "real" victim.

Pretty much what the Thomas & Margarine Spin Doctors Inc are doing. The lady who complained most recently agreed to speak to Margarine and identify herself to him, but he has not even bothered to call her apparently.

If they think 10 wins in one season wipes out 100 years of SHlT, they have a huge surprise coming.

3aw are the ****iest radio station on the air, and how about the players association standing up for the players , i dont care what team a player is from, they deserve the same rights all australians have , and that is you are innocent until proven guilty. lay off aussie rules players.

Heard the guys on 3aw yesterday. They were taking the ****, surely.

They actually said the 3aw brand had been damaged. The biggest laugh was having Neil Mitchell "phone in" to say he was a crusader for assaulted women.

Good luck to the Saints if they don't want to put up with this rubbish.
