Yeh personally I thought you overpaid for Hill. That's a pretty big investment on a player who is not in the top rung of the game's midfielders. Even if he is the best winger in his position, he's a step below the game's best. It's not that he's not a gun, it's that I reckon he is best as the cream on a solid cake, rather than someone to build around.

What would it cost to get one of those top rung midfielder's to St Kilda that you mention? Why would they even think about it - the team most likely will not be challenging for a flag for a few years.

They should improve quickly in the short term. Chance of finals next year. Still feel like they are a few A graders away from doing anything meaningful though.

Yep, really need a few of the boys like Steele, Gresham, Clark ect to take that next step. Marshall & Billings are our closest players to A grade, Billings just needs to do it for a full year now.
