Ugh. Mate who comes to the footy with me sometimes always calls the umpire a ref. He didn't start watching football until 2009 and was into soccer before that and so ALWAYS calls them ref. ****ing embarrassing.

Though to be fair, this mate of mine decided to support Geelong when he started following in 2009. When challenged on it, he claims it had nothing to do with the fact that they'd just won two flags in three years, but that their colours were the same as Melbourne Victory's. Victory's colours look a lot more like Carlton's to me than Geelong, but anyway.
