Feels hard to see how green aren't going to every tribal til merge. Would be 4 of the last 5 seasons with a disaster tribe. Best pre merge of that bunch was clearly 47.

Hopefully they let us vote on 2v3 tribes and taking away the flint if Probst is never going to figure it out.

The challenge tonight was a really good one.

And - although I liked Kev - at least it wasn't just a 'boot the low person' eviction. Interesting to see if this tribe will go forward or if they will just self-destruct.

I'm betting the latter.

Would it be too cynical to suggest they cast green as a disaster tribe deliberately to give Eva and Mitch a chance to bed in on their tribes.
Poasibly, but if so, it's a miscalculation. Eva is one of the most built women we've seen in a while on the show, she was never going first.

I would be pissed that Justin got voted out because he was picked by another tribe to go on the journey, had no choice whether he would play or not, then lost his vote in a game of chance BUT that was a pissweak effort to let Sai talk Cedrek into keeping her over you so a deserved vote out in the end.

Cedrek is an idiot for flipping. You need people you can trust in this game and Sai isn't going to trust him after he voted for her, twice. The damage was done and he should have stayed consistent.

Also Sai should have been the caller in the challenge, being loud is one of the things she's best at.

Well that sucked.

Journeys are terrible in general, but giving 2 of them no say in going, no time to interact with each other, no option to play, and then no way to influence the outcome of the game made this one the shittest yet.

And Jeff's love for taking away votes not only often ruins the ability for any sort of decent strategy, they've had to change the tie rules to try account for it and instead managed to completely break them. Sai getting to revote but getting no say in the deadlock discussion makes absolutely no sense, and was impossible to follow.

And once again we're 3 episodes into the season and we've not seen 80% of the remaining players actually have to play yet. What a joke

I am sick of these 'journeys' to be honest. Get rid of them, and focus back on finding genuine idols only. But agree, Justin was really unlucky.

Vula tribe is a joke, that tribal council..........seriously. Should have got Mary out last time and I am really sick of Sai.

And now there is a merge.

And now there is a merge.
It's a tribe swap, Sai is going to Civa based on the preview. There are 15 people left. I guess they could go to two tribes with uneven numbers, or send someone to exile or something, but it makes more sense to have three new tribes of 5.

This 3 tribe thing is an unmitigated disaster and for the life of me I cannot understand why they persist with it.

Am glad Mary managed to stick around but the same sentiment as everyone else, what a shit way to lose your vote without any choice to play or not.

I think 3 tribes leads to much better post merges than 2 tribes, but it just doesn't work with taking away votes and taking away tribe supplies.

All of 44, 45 and 46 had dud pre merges but really strong post merges so I'm still holding out hope for this season overall

I think three tribes can work fine, it's just that the producers screw up the initial division and create one failure of a tribe, then compound it by taking away their flint to make them weaker for the next challenge.

I saw a comment online that pointed out that Cedrek voted for everyone at that tribal. Mary on that first vote, then Sai x 2, then flipped to Justin. Then he tried to predicate it on Mary and Sai working together in a tribe of 3. Lucky for him there is a swap....
He seems like the classic guy who is very smart at one thing (surgery) and very dumb at anything outside of it.

Ok I take your points on board regarding the post merge.

It is still a disaster for the early rounds and maybe production is to blame?

Hopefully next season they can tweak it to remove the no votes etc.

I just get frustrated never seeing the other tribes under pressure or having to scramble. Never tested. It’s not good.

Just so much wrong with that episode and this season so far.

The journey was horrendous, the voting was confusing (not to mention Cedric making one of the dumbest decisions ever), and the three tribe+taking flint system clearly doesn't work. There's been one season with a not-garbage third tribe I think since 41.
