That game last night reminded me so much of a Saturday night encounter in 2005 where the Swannnies pipped the pies by a point in a game that looked lost. I recall wanting them to lose because I honestly thought if they won that game they'd go on to win the flag. They were among a few teams fighting for top 4 at that stage. Eerily similar in the way thy clawed their way back from the jaws of defeat. Funnily enough they were up 17 at 3 qtr time, had it, blew it, but snatched it.

Played Richmond the next week and lost by a point after the tiges almost did a tiges and almost lost a 33 point 3qtr time lead.

Funny how the more things change the more they stay the same.

Random rant over.

Funnily enough when they played and pipped the pies by a point in 2005, it was round 13, their 13th game of the season like last night:huh:

It's round 14 ATM obviously but still, their 13th game. History does repeat.

Geelong would be looking forward to playing them in September then.

No chance mate. Well get done by 6+ goals tonight. A belting.

Swannies will be playing GWS in the granny. Swans will win it. Redemption for last year and older heads will prevail.

Will be like hawks vs wce in 91 then GWS will come back next year and win it. Paul Dear will put on a swans guernsey and get the norm smith. Gws's Peter MAtera will get it next year.

Swans just keep chopping heads. Another massive scalp. Wouldn't be surprised to see Tigers lose to freo on sunday and swans get top 4. Richmond have the saints or deesnext week anyway. If swans get top 4 they're almost certainties to play in the big one.

away wins to all of the top 4 this season { tiges were 4th before tonight }

best team by far. All Sydney final beckons.

Crows lol.
