1. For the past 2 weeks, every 2 or 3 days someone has been going up and down my street with something that's making a beeping noise. That very specific beeping noise that you hear in cartoons and movies. Beeping louder and more frequent as it gets closer to what it's tracking. Every time I pop my head out to see them they are just ******* gone. ****, vanished. Well now they are back and the beeping seems very intense out the back of my house (live on a corner so I've a front and back road). I don't want to stick my head out and get dragged into a whole thing. I'm hoping it's just a hobbyist metal detector and not some government official tracking something.

2. Something qooty related for balance.

3. Help. I can't go back to jail.
It's cherry season, so it's probably someone in a fast-moving cherry picker.

Round 16

Three things I learnt this week...
  1. The sim is indeed a merciful sim.
  2. This season's State of Origin series may just be the biggest yet. Hope to see some of the big names who've hung em up in S30 turn out for it.
  3. Maybe we can do milestones at Coney Island after all. Congratulations NaturalDisaster on a satisfying win in your 150th, and nice to get a win for old time's sake with my boy Doctor Colossus, in what looks like his last game as a Wazza.

Over to you Sweet FA 👍

1. TheInjuryFactory is the only who puts any effort into formalising his three things he learnt.

2. The Royals have stopped blowing close games. Remarkable cultural turnaround.

3. The Royals would like nominate nine players for All-SFA and I believe we're the finest example of why there should be no cap on nominations.

Tempting sim fate right before the finals? You're a braver man than I.

When you've been burned as often and as much as I have, you stop caring about fate and learn appreciate the minor things. In this case, a literal minor premiership.

You know, in the old Sweet Football League (SFL), back in the 80s, the minor premiers were considered premiers. The grand final only existed to humour their might should they lose their opponent's challenge in the premiership final (which was actually fairly often).

You're not supposed to downplay the significance of the Grand Final until after you've choked. I cannot emphasize that enough.

I'm downplaying the entire concept of finals. Waste of time. WHAT WERE THE FIRST 16 GAMES FOR?

Round 16

Three things I learnt this week...
  1. Never, EVER under any circumstance, rent a house out under a private agreement (when you are the property owner).
  2. S30 rookies bat fairly deep, longevity will be the key. How many can last the distance?
  3. Gumbies for a third time this season .... why is the world so unkind.

1. Unfortunately I'm going to have to let down 6 or 7 sides this off-season
2. The Furies haven't missed the finals with me on their list
3. There is no Gumbies or Hawks that were born in Regional Victoria

1. I always thought Turkish Delight lovers were a minority but my extensive research would show that we are in fact, a majority. The small number of haters who refuse to grow as people are just far more vocal, uneducated and unwashed.

2. Gumbies may not post the highest numbers, but this collection of outcasts have a very good thing building. Growing success off field has been rewarded with a finals berth. I think the team has a good dynamic and works well together. Rodders has arrived.

3. When selecting the All-SFA team, the selectors will compare HBF with the rest of the backline. This is a joke. Each position should be filled with players of that position, not just the general area. HBFers are the soul of a club and to be compared to players that regularly get 5+ kicked on them is ****ing farcical. HBFers to get screwed yet again.

Sweet FA Finals - Week 1

Three things I learnt this week...
  1. Maybe... just maybe, the sim has a heart. I don't know about you, but I am all in on a Kennedy Parker fairytale finish here...
  2. The Sweet FA loves a draft. Great concept, great buy in, and it looks like we now have a clear winner in the you know what.
  3. beez media season is alive and well!
