Good riddance, it’s not like you guys really need him, he ain’t best 22 next year.
Nothing to do with being best 22, its about disrespecting the club and not adhering to team ethos.

Theirs a reason we've won three in the last four years, and his actions in the last two incidents are a clear breach of those actions and the reason why he doesn't have a premiership medallion.

If any player on the list should be putting bum down, head up and be training 100% right now it's Stack. But he's obviously to keen to keep on the piss.

reckon if he payed the kebab gates fine with his own money he wouldnt have done this

he was rapt that mummy rfc paid up for him
Was thinking this before
Despite his **** ups he manages to escape major consequences

A lot of the people defending him here seem to only acknowledge the part about him breaching quarantine saying it's not a big deal, maybe he can't handle being isolated at home alone etc.

Not seeming to acknowledge the fact he went out to a nightclub and got in a fistfight with several others. I agree that he clearly needs help, but I'm at a stage where I don't think a football club can provide what he needs.

Ill give my 2 cents as a paid up long time member of the club.
Sydney is a man that has all the talents in the world. He has to capability to be one of the best- seriously. He is also someone who has had his fair share of struggles and challenges. He has made mistakes, some small some large, just like the rest of us. The problem is that he has not learnt from them. I believe that how a man recovers from mistakes and adversity is how they should be judged. I have heard many things about Sydney's behaviour and indescretions. Unfortuantley this is the last straw for me. The club has done everything and beyond for this young man but it seems that he simply can/does not have the temprement to be a PROFESSIONAL footballer. We gave him the chance of his lifetime when we picked him up. We gave him the most supportive environment and we gave him the full backing of the tiger army. We gave him encouragment( ive heard we activated a bonus in his contract even though he didnt deserve it AT ALL). We gave him patience and chances second, third, fouth and many more. From training to dealing with his cocky egotistical attitude, tokebabgate where we faced finacial sanctions and staff cuts. He has recieved more than his fair share of chances to prove that he can be a professional, and most importantly a Richmond Man. He has now ended up in a situation where he spends tongiht behind bars! and faces a strict WA court. I wont even go down the path of his lies and deciet of so many who have invested in him, or even the dangers of COVID and what his actions could possibly have led to. This is the end of the road for me Stacky. I, like the 100k other members want the very very best for you. But it seems that this cannot go on any longer. I relunctantly call for [PLAYERCARD]Sydney Stack[/PLAYERCARD] to be sacked from the club upon the courts decision of the consequence.

To those who are defending him, I respect your opinions and I emphatise with you and syd. But lets talk about what is at play here. A egomanic who cant control himself. He put the whole state's health at risk with his downright lies to law enforcment. This was a planned deciet, not a drunk decision off the cuff. If you have a look at his Instagram he was out partying and definatley not self isolating as he shouldve done. There is breaking some rules and regulations, there is being a silly young man. And then there is crossing a line which you should not cross. It doesnt matter who you are, how famous how popular how rich, you cannot get away with putting millions' lives at risk. Weve seen 800+lives lost in Vic. There is no reason it cant happen elsewhere.

Maybe he needs to spend some time in the real world, maybe he needs to spend some time behind bars. Maybe he needs a really harsh wake up call. Maybe he needs some personal support to be with him the whole time. IDK at this stage, but what I think is that considering all things, the best way forward is seperatley for both the club and Sydney
Is breaching quarantine protocols really arrest and spending the night behind bars?
I thought it was just a slap on the wrist fine and forcing you to go to quarantine accommodation?

Good points.young long life in front him after football.better learn or else

We don’t have the transcript for the Court hearing, so one could argue that whatever Sydney has been quoted as saying could be taken out of context. However, the fact that he uttered the words “my AFL career is on the line here” just shows his complete lack of insight into his actions, a sense of entitlement, and he’s more concerned about being given another chance.

You’re a ****ing fool Stack, and a dickhead, if your AFL career is so important to you, hold onto it, protect it, don’t compromise it by being a complete and utter tool. Sadly, that might just be too much to ask. He may yet mature, but we’re not seeing the signs here that he is.

It was barely 50 days ago that his teammates won a flag, which he missed out on. Look at [PLAYERCARD]Jack Ross[/PLAYERCARD], his burning desire to succeed. He made a pact with himself. We are arguably more closer to winning the next flag than any other team going into 2021 and players will be fighting for spots, and he does this...

Whatever comes of it, the Club will make the right decision in all the circumstances.

Please correct me if I am wrong but he faced the magistrates court and was denied bail. That would mean that he is not allowed to go anywhere and he must spend the time until the trial under custody does it not?

This is likely the end of his involvement at Richmond and if it is I have no issue with it at all. It is what realistically should happen but I have to be honest: I hope he survives it.
Totally contradictory, I know but I want to see what he is capable of.

I guess, if the club are inclined to give him another chance they, I believe, need to weigh the effect on the playing group. How is Stack regarded? If he plays in a Grand Final ahead of a man who has worked his arse off, like Ross will that cause division? It certainly will if he goes off the rails again after that.

Maybe this is a case of a bloke needing to hit rock bottom before waking up to himself?

If he doesn’t get another opportunity I won’t be complaining but I hope he somehow does.

Imagine almost ruining your afl career then getting given another crack only to rock up to pre season looking like relton roberts.
Attitude is off for me, i cant see stack making it.
All the talent, no brains.
Hope im wrong.
Bump

I don't care if he was the best player in the competition his lack of respect of the club, players staff and fans is there to be seen we're is the improvement or impression he wants it or learned nothing at all.Club bailed him on that fine and support him yet look at his actions. Get one of those kids who missed the draft maybe half the talent but not issues.

After assessing him and the situation i'm sure the right call will be made by the club.

does he need rehab ? I don't know....does he need support, absolutely.

I'm not sure if any other team will pick him up TBO. If the RFC can't get him right who else is going to try?

I know one thing, he is not content if he is not playing in the seniors. Hypothetically If he was playing at another club he would be getting game time on the big stage, that's what he wants. But does he have the discipline to work his way up and stay at the top? He hasn't shown it, and although Covid has been tough on everyone, you'd think he would've learnt from his mistake and bunkered down.

Probably the most naturally talented at Tiger land (alongside Dusty and Bolton), but he is a tainted talent and that is what hurts the most.

He needs a new job now

If we sack him, no big deal
If we keep him, no big deal

My preference would be to keep him

Just because Richmond can’t get him settled atm, doesn’t mean he’s no chance at any other club

What the Covid test? Or getting into a blue in Nortbridge at 1-40 in the morning?
COVID-19 test and not running into the community before the self-isolation protocol is completed. I’m assuming that you were saying what you said because you were complying with WA protocols right?

As this is another COVID breach, what are the chances of the club getting a huge fine and/or lose draft picks ??
The AFL threatened that we may lose Premiership points if we were caught breaching again. I hope the AFL don’t punish Richmond in this case because it is seriously not their fault. They let him go back to WA on compassionate grounds. What else could they have done? Hold his hands?

No I was talking about the Northbridge Tavern Covid testing site
