Obviosuly know one viewed Thorntons hip and shoulder last night as reportable... since it hasnt come up on here yet.

If the last few weeks are anything to go by he could actually cop three weeks for something that most would see as a perfect bump.

no-one's mentioned it, because it wasn't reportable. He got him flush on the shoulder/mid-section, perfectly legal :)

I'm confused. Which hip & shoulder are we talking about? The only ones I remember T-Bird dishing out were the 2 perfect bumps to Moody's ribs. I have watched the game 3 times. I don't think I have missed anything.

well, i was in the ball park, at least. And i believe he's talking about the one, when Moodie had his head over the ball, and T-Bird got him, flush in the ribs, as you say

It was the best legal hip and shoulder I've seen for a couple of years.
I agree. Very nice hip and shoulder that did exactly what Thornton intended to do without causing too much damage to the player. That, and the snap for goal in the 4th, were two passages of play I was really suprised to see Thornton involved in.

I saw one that is of some concern regarding one of our younger players, but not sure what the statute of limitations is so I'll sit on it for a bit.:(

When was it, i can't recall it.

I can assume that the MRC have been over the tape and have not bothered.

In the first quarter when Bryce won his free kick at 45m and missed his set shot, there is a reason why Murph sheepishly handed the ball back to a Brissie player. Black was kneeling to gather the footy after Bryce's head was ripped off, and Murph collected him.......lets say somewhere around the shoulder ;) , with his hip............must have been a close run thing.

But hey, if they let Fixter off then anything goes right.......eyes on the footy my ass.:thumbsd:

Absolutely fair bump in my books.
No report, no match review report. He's fine for round 1.

The day (night) Jordan Russell became a member of this team? Great job on Power - beaut goal just when we needed it.:thumbsu:

Heard last night on the late news that they looked at the Murph bump on Black and said it was fine.......but then again they cleared Fixter. No wonder players get confused.
Last season Fixter would have gone for sure. Lucky for Matty Lloyd, charging is back in.:thumbsu:

Yeah ... Matty Lloyd Charges into invisible players ... and then gets free kicks for it.

Can't say that I recall Murphs bump on Black, although I haven't really seen the replay yet.

Thought Fixter might have been in a bit of strife, considering he took his eye off the ball, and basically crashed straight into Murph.

Fixter should have got at least a week - that was ridiculous.

For Murphs have a look in the first Q, when Bryce Gibbs gets his free kick - shot on goal. Murph hands the ball back to a lions player because of a guilty conscience. Black was kneeling to pick up the loose ball and Murph collected him. Not clear cut, but given the suspensions handed out in week 1 I was a bit worried.
They did look at it but cleared him.:thumbsu:
