I agree but I wouldn't use pick four on someone we intend to play as a third tall defender in the long term. Big fan of Francis up forward though. What's the better balanced defence?
Hooker, Hurley and Carlisle?
or
Hooker, Hurley and Aaron Francis.
If Francis measures up as expected I'd think the defence with him as 3rd defender stacks up better long term.
Steinberg is a vfl player Courtney Dempsey is 28 and is not a difference maker will hams is not as good as Schroeder Polkinghorne coughlan tippa or mcniece kavanagh plodder please make some tough calls
What about Jetta? If we can get him cheaply would anyone be interested?

You'd boot Steinberg or Pears before Kav.So with
Fletcher, Chapman, Winderlich, Carlisle, Melksham and Dalgleish gone from the main list. I assume we will be dropping 2 more (and another if we get multiple picks in trade for Carlisle/Melksham).
Hams and Kavanagh the next to go with Browne the third maybe?
McKernan to upgrade.
Aylett and Steingberg off the rookie list.
Lots of new blood.
Given Stanton and Dempsey could be off as well I don't think we'd be delisting any more until the FA period is over if at all. 5+ live picks is a lot in a shallow draft. So with

7 off already. Hams is gone. I'm very reluctant to go with more than 9 list changes, which means drop one of Pears or Steinberg as well. Probably Steiny for me.
Most likely to have one of Pears or Steiny off.Forgot about Pears, yep he is gone.
Steinberg I didn't count because he is o the rookie list. I counted him gone at the end of my post.
I think it will have to be Steinberg, he needs to be either upgraded or delisted this yearSo it would appear we're finally starting to take shape.
On:
Leuenberger
Bird
ND pick 4
ND pick 5
ND pick 24
ND pick 25
McKernan (upgrade)
McKenna (upgrade)
Off:
Chapman (retired)
Winderlich (retired)
Fletcher (retired)
Carlisle (trade)
Melksham (trade)
Giles (trade)
Dalgleish (delisted)
There's 8 coming in there so one more would need to go, for me it should be O'Brien.
Meaning a reprieve for Pears, Hams, Browne, Kavanagh and Dempsey.
Our next live draft pick is 57 which I would use if we could land a genuine, mature state league KPP ala Brown, Hartley etc. If that occurred is delist Pears. Otherwise I'd pass and leave it at that.
