Would assume it's a kill/recruit mechanism based off that OP description - otherwise vig would almost never shoot in this game making it a redundant role. Which is why I believe bonce modified the vig in that way for this game.

Honestly now there's ambiguity around that mechanic, they're better off not shooting.

I thought it was a pretty clear kill evil/recruit good mechanic but yeah if villagers can still die and not be recruited then vig don't shoot all game unless we a) confirm the true seer and b) they reveal a vamp.

Village seems a bit gimped, recruit me vamps.
