The more I think about it the more I warm to the idea of Dawes playing this week. Melbourne's got a good brigade of young defenders. Fraser's form this year hasn't been great and with the history of his body too I think it's worth resting / dropping him for the week and using Dawes / Leroy as the back up rucks.

I agree with bringing Dawes in for Fraser. He has more to offer as a 2nd ruck than Fraser. O'Bree in for Ball, or try Beams in there - a bit of both, I'd imagine. I'd like to see Barham get a run, as we need some pace.

Pies Closed Training Sessions at
Victoria Park

Collingwood trained at Victoria Park on Friday morning, and while coach Mick Malthouse would not be drawn on which player would drop out of the squad immediately afterwards, he emphasised the difficulty of selecting 25 players four days out from the match.

Why is it Closed - I would love to see the Pies Train at Vic Park

2: Jack Riewoldt Kicked 10 Goals Today - Should of Done what Burgan did in his 2006 Mock Draft:

http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/35868/default.aspx

I had Riewoldt in my draft at 10:

This is probably the closest I have ever got to "getting the draft right".

Until this year Riewoldt looked nothing close to what he is now and really it was a 50/50 out of whether he would be as good as N.Brown/ Reid. Also lucked out on Tippett who was a high potential type I also liked at 28.

Also had Armitage at no.8. Saw him as being best available and essentially a really nice player. Over the years at St Kilda probably hasn't really had the opportunities he would have received at another club. With the pair of top 10 picks I saw it as going best available at 8 with pick 10 being best KPP available which I saw as being Riewoldt.

Honestly I still think N.Brown and Reid can both become very good players over the next couple of years once they become regulars and really it will take another probably 2-3 years of hindsight to really know who would have been the best choices at those draft positions.

Not Complaining about Reid and N Brown as the Both Shown they can be very good AFL players.

I remember the Morning of the 2006 Draft I was Convinced we would draft Jack and remembering Cracking the S**ts that we didn't

Reid and Brown were never bad selections and I think they will both turn out to be very good players. I was never disappointed by any means with the selections. Dawes I was a little surprised given his injuries but even he is proving to have been a good selection.

In hindsight and I haven't updated this from my page but we could have had Riewoldt and Frawley. Frawley wasn't on my radar and I had him going around 13-15 in my various drafts at the time. Before this year I don't think anyone seriously rated either of them well ahead of our young KPP pair if at all. I think both Reid and Brown will develop well and be by no means disappointing so I wouldn't worry about it. KPPs particularly can be very hit and miss.

The 2006 was a Very Strong Draft and you could have a number of good players from that Draft.

KPP can be hit and miss as they have not really developed yet into there Bodies. Only the Special ones can make a Immediate impact

Hindsight is a burning thing. Imagine adding Riewoldt, Frawley & Grimes in our side at the expense of Reid, Brown & Wood.:(

Well It Be Interesting but can say that about any draft
