Not sure I'm ready to cease talking about yesterday's great game, but looking forward it seems to me that if fit (emphasis on the IF) we must bring in Brown and Foley, at the expense of probably Edwards and either White or Jackson.

I really want Polo and Connors to play again, so someone else has to go for 2 of our best 5 players to return...

If Patto fit, bring him back for TC I'd reckon.

Thoughts?

If Patto is right, you'd expect that a straight swap for TC would happen.

Think Browny was out for the rest of the year?

Dunno what happened to Foley. Perhaps he'll come in for Jacko.

dont think browny will be back, If patto isnt right Id give Gus a go, tough on TC one game but Gus needs a go, reports have been good from the ressies...somehow Id love to see Hughes back in the side...we're still crying out for someone to make FF their own...I'd be keen to see him get a sustained run at it...not many vacancys though:confused:

Wouldnt wanna make too many changes to a side that beat the Hawks?

I'd like to see Foley back in when he's ready though, but I wouldnt want Connors or Polo dropped either.

You are kidding?

White and Jackson were awesome yesterday( jackson got two votes on the radio).

Foley has bruised ribs and is in doubt.

Polo would have to go( last in!) and ...not sure

Mate that's my exact point. I would be loathe to drop either of White or Jackson, but sheesh if Brown and Foley are AOK then it has to be someone... we can't play 24!

Maybe Riewoldt? But I think he's important and reckon being part of a winning side would be very good for him

Just watched the game again. And although he gives us good run and is an exciting player Edwards was probably our least effective player bar Cartlege and Riewoldt on the weekend however I can see us dropping either of these two for a small.

IN: Foley
OUT: Edwards

That's my prediction if Foley is fit, but I reckon he won't be and hence we will be unchanged

We have to learn patience and persist with players. Last week evryone wanted Morton out....and he bobs up this week. They cant all get amongst teh goals every week. I think that the best feauture...we are developing lots of options. Remember we just beat Hawthorn and Richo only kicked 1 goal. I could not have imagined that a year ago.

i'm still unsure on jackson .. i hope he proves me wrong .. if foley fit .. foley in for jackson .. i really like titch edwards he is a big part of our future

Jackson will be an integral part of our team next year, anyone calling for his head officially has no idea. I really rate him I just think he needs a sustained period in the team to get him right.

RATE Polo higher than Jackson and always have, but think if Foley is passed fit, Polo might be the unlucky one to make way, by virtue of the fact he was the late change.
Can't see a change outside that.
Pretty sure Pattison isn't going to be available and actually didn't mind the look of Cartledge. He's worth another game to see what he can offer.

Same. He didnt have many touches but was in and under a few packs at centre bounces on sunday.
Its a touch one but Riewoldt has been quiet. I think he should keep his spot in the team but if Foley comes back in then its either him or Jackson.

leave the team unchanged unless foley is fit to come back then i suppose one of jackson or polo will miss.

browny should be put on ice unless we fluke a finals appearance and his fit to come back in.

It appears Brown and Patto are out for the year.

.

I'm not doubting you in any way PJ, but is that official or even officialish? I hope Brown isn't gone, and it'd be a shame for Patto (and us) if he is also out.

What exactly is a hip injury anyway? Brusing? Strained? Is it a muscular or skeletal injury?

If we were to scrape into the finals, I'd put a year's wages on Browny making himself available

For those who said they didn't want Edwards to be dropped.

As I said, I rewatched the game last night and bar Jack and Cartlege, he was our quietest player. So if we are fielding our best (most inform) 22, he would be the most likely to miss. If it's a last in, first out system, then obvioulsy Polo will be dropped.

Foley has to come in but who for? Probably leaning towards White just been down the past couple of weeks and I am a massive fan of Edwards so would like to see him stay.

I understand Brown will be out until rnd 22 mimimum but not 100% sure just doesnt sound too good and didnt someone say Patto fractured a veterbre he aint coming back from that quickly I can tell you that.

Gus in for TC is a high possiblity but who knows.
