Thanks. Would you advise targeting Essendon players due to the price drop, or too risky?
Pick them if you think they will score well, don't just pick them because they are cheaper

Generally speaking, try pick a spread of players from different clubs, otherwise you might be in trouble in certain bye rounds with players out. Also, there's only so many points to go around for each team

I'm awful at this, please give feedback

Mid-Pricers can be very tempting, but from personal experience, they'll burn you more often than not.

A pretty simple way to get a solid team is to:

1: Pick a solid Captaincy Option. Dangerfield or Pendlebury for example.

2: Pick rookies with good Job Security.

3: Once you've identified the rookies you like, fill the rest of your team with premiums. But be careful not to just pick the most expensive players, generally the best options are those priced just below the max - unless they have a long history of high-end performance.

4: When choosing Rucks, try to identify rucks which are clear #1 at their club, and who can perform across the ground rather than just at the ruck contest.

5: Try to find cheaper options with premiums that are priced lower than expected, such as through injury layoffs.

Okay thats really really ugly

Like Stevie Wonder could see how ugly that is.

Please start by copying one of the teams exactly from this thread.
Then swap a few of your fav players in.

All are fair points. I just don't like messing around with my rucks. Especially when you only have 30 trades and he's 34 and injury prone. Considering this is probably going to be a semi rebuild for a few years younger guys may get a go such as Sean Darcy.

You'll make the 8 if there are no serious injuries
Recruited very well and add Fyfe and Sandi

I want to start Zerrett really bad, talk me into him.

Durable
Heppell gets tagged
Bombers will be competitive
Jobe to spend more time at hf fwd
Zerrett is there best player
He was sooo good in such a shit side last season and has spoken about his desire to also kick more goals in 2017

And very very few will have him, kinda like Cripps and Treroar of 2016

That team is what i imagine what marriage would be like... horrible lol.
Just kidding. Not a terrible team. Not what i would pick though :)

Quick team made in 5min - value premos and an array of rookies.
Fwd line seems like the place to setup the paddock and milk the cows.

Being the magnanimous type, I'm trying to help others get at least a solid team.

How I pick my team:

1: Go with my heart over my head when picking players

2: Overload on injury prone players that were half-decent 5 years ago.

3: Fill my team with Mid-Price traps that keep my team stagnant for the whole season.

4: Pick negative PODs.

5: Pick the least valuable most expensive players

6: Awkwardly shoe-horn rookies into the side.

7: Wonder why I don't win the $50k.
