fwds and defenders are solid.
Midfield is slightly different to many, which is good to see. Swallow and Sheed is a massive risk, as you could be left with 2 stinkers in your mid, due to injury or poor form. id only start with one of them if i were you.
Rucks is pretty standard with one of Gawn/Goldy and Sandi. Witts on bench is probably a little too much to spend on a R3.

to make that work, id get rid of Logue, Witts and Wagner and get Stewart/Vickers-Willis, Strnadica and a cheaper rookie (e.g Ben Long)
that should give you another 250-300k to work with. you could downgrade Sheed to another rookie (Graham/Bolton/Brown/Powell Pepper) and upgrade Swallow to another premo. just strengthen that mid a little more and reduces the risk of getting stuck with 2 mid pricers who arent performing

Thanks, I thought Logue was meant to be more running HBF but if he is playing KPD I'll get rid of him. I was going to get Vickers-Willis in but forgot, I actually forgot to put Powell-Pepper back in so he'll come back into my midfield.

Logue is that in-betweener, where he can play as a KPD, but can also play HBF or midfield (which he did late last year). there are better options out there IMO.

Feels good to be getting back into SC.

First team has come together and I'm reasonably happy with it.



Everyone under $200k has a big asterisk next to their name and will likely change at least 200 times or more before R1 arrives.

Any major issues that anyone might care to point out at this early stage?

depends, are you talking about premos and rookies or just premos.

i wouldnt be too worried about the rookies, but premos YES 9 from 2 is too many

that is how a lot of teams are lining up at the moment, with the abundance of midfield premos. Its a nice team.

If I get 6 forward rookies named I will have a crack with that forward line. Could not find any decent buys in forwards to be honest. Defenders did not like anyone of the buys really except for the older blokes a bit of Dad's army but I trust the blokes chosen to score well hopefully they don't miss too much. Midfield is stacked and if I took out an old defender I'd be looking to add another midfielder if enough rookies named in forwards and defence as there are so many good options. I'm happy my teams different if it's the same as everyone else I wont win 50k. Also haven't picked blokes to be unique just genuinely picked who I thought. Been awhile since I have been really competitive was top 100 many years ago but feels like a lifetime away now. Plenty of rule changes since then.

As long as they aren't all Port/GC and all premos, but yeah sounds like too many to me.
