Meh on Franklin, and as a Cats guy, we've both seen enough of Motlop to not trust him...

I like this team. Would prefer an extra premo defender so KK becomes D4. Midfield is huge but missing one of Beams, Murphy or Swallow. I have the same first five as you with Swallow at D6. Rucks are solid. I'm a fan of the Hickey selection and not going the Sandi and Ryder route. Could go either way. Forwards are a bit risky but you aren't taking risks in the middle like most so I say go for it. Nice POD at this stage and has strong potential to be clear of the pack early on if things go right for you.

I tried for a set and forget midfield. I've got serious reservations about starting with Beams or Swallow (and to a lesser extent Murphy) due to being burned by injuries in the past. I'm hoping that once JOM gets game time and I'll be able to upgrade a rookie for him.

Injury concerns kept me from selecting Adams as a premium defender.

Definitely risky in the mids, could use one of Swallow/Selwood/JOM in there - would cost a ruck or Hibberd downgrade though.

Yeah I think I'll be including 1-2 of beams/Murphy/Selwood/swallow/Sheed after having a look at them in the preseason.

But leaning towards a gun/rookie strategy. Going for league win and so want to minimise injury risk and save trades.

risky midfield, with 5 of your 7 premos/midpricers coming back from injury/suspension.

dont like the backline, weak if HH is at D2, he should be starting at D3 or D4.
dont like the Carlisle pick, dont think he will average enough to warrant selection

Rucks are standard

forward line is the one that doesnt need changing, IMO. very nice

Putting Sandi in at R2 saves me money for elsewhere but i do not trust his body at his age and went set and forget for now in the Ruck.

Don't like Carlisle.He's gotta go! Your a premo light in DEF.
Mcluggage should be in the FWD line at the expense of Black who wont get a game unless injury hits the Cats.
I don't think you can risk all of Beams,Murphy and Swallow.Pick two of them and rookie, then use the extra cash in DEF.
IMO Swallow is the best pick of them. cheaper with very similar scoring potential.the money could be better spent elsewhere.
