This is one of my favourites i've seen so far. I would opt to go for Jelwood & JPK rather than Zerrett & Rockliff though.

Seriously mate...

We're pretty good here with bouncing ideas - not huge on selecting a starting team.

Re: last question - hard to say, watch JLT. I'm usually reluctant to select small forwards, even as rookies unless they make themselves essential.

Montagne the only Saint on my radar.
Not looking at GWS either...but if I had to pick one it would be Ward.

For defence you're best to look at the Defenders thread and make your own picks..lots of time spent on justifying selections and everyone has an opinion.

I thought Petrevski just injured himself which could set him back a bit. Don't know a lot about Ainsworth.
IMO your best to pick a few higher priced rookies for team structure, then watch the JLT and hope cheaper guys are the guys that kill it. No one can really give you an answer on the rookies...it's all wait and see cause we don't know how they will fit in the lineups and what roles will be assigned to them.
FWIW I had Petrevski in before I heard of his injury, and Mcluggage as my top priced rookies.
Each year there are cheaper rookies that bob up and serve the SC community well...just gotta wait for them.

Tempted to leave it like this until JLT is done and dusted. 183k left over but not sure where to spend it. Backing in Hartlett and Roughy to return to previous form. Ryder at R2 because there are doubts over the other options. Riewoldt and Sloane should start well.

Love the Steven pick, could be even better this year if he becomes more consistent.

I'd change Wingard or Heeney to a rookie, and go for T.Stewart instead of McGrath down back to free up more cash. Use the cash to upgrade Murphy but if you back him in then keep him there.
