Team so far. First crack for the year. Looks solid to me, what do you guys think?

Forward line is a little too risky for my liking, adding another premo will take away some of the risk with Wingard and Heeney. Roughead you can't go wrong with at that price and unlike the other two he's proven.
Maybe drop Heppell and get in Dahlhaus/Macrae.

This is one of my favourites i've seen so far. I would opt to go for Jelwood & JPK rather than Zerrett & Rockliff though.

Thanks mate, although i dare say it will change alot by the time the real shit starts.Yeah Zerret and rockliff arent locks yet, ill wait to see how zerret gels with the new look bombers team and rocky will come down to how he looks fitness wise, JPK and Selwood would be very high on the list for their replacements along with SP Cripps, Bont and Sloane,

Easily One of the best teams I've seen. No bad picks, In fact there probably arent even any controversial ones.

gunston is the one that will make or break you. He's a huge pod, and if he starts the year in 100+ form, I think you are going to be right up there with the top 100 or so players.

Sloane for me. Love Gunston as a player but not in supercoach

I'd prefer the other one. Purely because If sandi balls gets injured early (and there's every chance this could happen) you'll be up shit creek. Who do you trade him to?

It's highly unlikely I start with Sandi over Gawn but rick vs reward. My next team is an even juicer no Gawn team.

Yeah I like this one more than the last.

Swallow+Adams have the potential to give you 200 points a week
Sloane+defensive rookie I think would be capped at 180 per week,

Current team I've been rolling with for over 24 hours.

Not sure on McDonald or McGrath at his price, so if scharenberg or Hampton impress in the preseason I'll downgrade mcgrath to one of those two and use the extra money to turn McDonald into rance.

Well you've got Gawn compared to my Sandi. We both have Ryder but Witts, man I don't know if I can do it.

That midfield tho

I think you have to cull a MID premo and fix up Witts and spend a little on upgrades in your backline.
Having SPP on the bench is over kill IMO. He should score well 80+

I figure with witts, in the event of a worse case scenario Where he gets dropped after 2 games and doesn't rise in price, I could still swing Ryder from my forward line into the rucks until I can generate enough cash to upgrade witts into to a premo Ruck , then I'd move Ryder back into the forwards. It's 100,000 grand sitting wasted on the bench for 6-7 weeks, annoying but not the end of the world. But the potential upside is so good that I have to take the risk.

if SPP is as good as you say, I might yet get rid of swallow and use that money on strengthening my backline. But I've got my heart set on starting 6 ultra premo mids. They're too hard to bring in otherwise.

After all the talk of some of you lads putting Witts in your rucks i was intrigued, so i decided id have a crack at trading Gawn to Witts and see what i could do with all dat cash money, and boy oh boy it opened up a whole lot of very bloody tempting upgrades, by the 420 odd k freed up by the above deal it enabled me to go Vlaustin>Adams, C.Hampton>Z.Jones and Jai Simpkin>Sam reid and yes im very aware the last 2 would be risky picks.

Now call me crazy but i think ill gain about 50 points a week roughly with the above 3 trades (not to mention when simpkin/hampton dont play) and im not sure if Gawn will score 50 points more than Witts a week. Thoughts? or is this a rediculous idea and i should bring big max back in like it never happened?

Big fan of the Hanners, Sloane and Jelwood picks. All three are underrated in the SC world. There's at least 330 points per week every week. All consistent, don't miss games, captain options. Tick, tick, tick.

I ended up downgrading Stefan Martin to Ryder, and took Wingard out for Dahlhaus. May put Macrae in instead, like both of them and very similar scorers

If I need to sure up a line before lockout I wont hesitate.

I have been toying with McCrae, do you know who had the better preseason? With Dahls leg issues last year, this year might be the first time I get McCrae I reckong.

On afl website rocky was saying Martin was potential captain, if they make Martin Captain I'm grabbing him because he will play EVERY game !!!!

Looks easier to sure up the backs this year. Forward premos look iffy as well
